MIKEY GARCIA claimed Floyd Mayweather is the best boxer on the planet – and would still be able to beat Errol Spence Jr.
IBF and WBC welterweight champ Spence, 30, insisted he would break the 43-year-old boxing legend down physically if they were to go toe-to-toe.

He backed himself when he was asked who would win if he took on Mayweather in his prime.
But Garcia has insisted the veteran American, who came out retirement to beat Conor McGregor, would still be able to beat him to this day.
Garcia – who lost to Spence in March 2019 – told FightHype: “I’m sure he feels like that, and every fighter should feel like he’s the best.
“You can’t go into a fight thinking your opponent is going to beat you.
“Being realistic, I doubt that. I think Floyd is the best and will always be among the greatest.
“I think he’s the best at this time. Even if they fight right now, I think Floyd still beats him.”
Spence claimed he has what it takes to beat Mayweather – who hung up his gloves in 2017.
When asked who would win, the 30-year-old said: “100 per cent focused, in my prime, I think I would beat Floyd.
“He’s very mentally tough. I would cut him off, I would use my jab, throw combinations, work the body and then work the head.
“I’d try to break him down physically, because I know I’m not going to break him down mentally, he’s just one of those types of fighters.

“He’s like Shawn Porter, you’re not going to break him down mentally, you can break him down physically, but mentally, he’s always going be there.”
Mayweather has sparked speculation that he is planning to come out of retirement by posting a series of sparring videos.
But British boxer Amir Khan has claimed Mayweather would only return to the ring at his age if he’s blown his £1billion fortune.
