FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. has been challenged to a push-up competition by long-term rival Oscar De La Hoya in a bid to raise money to fight coronavirus.
The two memorably clashed in the ring back in 2007 where the boxer dubbed the ‘Money Man’ defeated the Golden Boy via a split decision.

The former fighters have continued to trade barbs outside of the ropes that infamously referenced De La Hoya’s well publicised drug problems as well as Mayweather’s brushes with the law.
But the Mexican-American seems finally ready to bury the hatchet following a generous £201,000 donation last week to fight coronavirus.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, De La Hoya, 47, has challenged his old foe Mayweather, 43, to a push-up contest with the loser donating cash to help fight the ongoing spread of the deadly bug.
He said: “Floyd, let’s match what I donated, for instance.
“Or I challenge you to push-up contest. Whoever wins, you gotta donate more money. Let’s do this, let’s help people out.”

“The last nine days, I’ve done about 250,000 push-ups and for every push-up, I donated a dollar.
“So why don’t we do this, let’s challenge our peers, our friends, business leaders, politicians, or business or sports owners and donate money, create awareness.
“Instead of challenging everybody to do push-ups, why don’t we challenge everybody to do push-ups but every push-up you do, donate a dollar. If you do five push-ups, donate five bucks. If you do ten push-ups, donate ten bucks.
“Imagine millions and millions of people doing this, we can help out a lot, a lot of people especially the people that are helping us in these hospitals.
“You don’t need to donate crazy amounts but you could create awareness so America could start donating money as well.”
De La Hoya’s callout came just days after Mayweather flaunted wads of cash on Instagram live and bragged about thriving in a recession caused by coronavirus.
The boxing legend, who retired in 2017 after his victory over Conor McGregor, finished with a perfect 50-0 record, having made around £1BILLION in prize money.
And whether it’s his extravagant car collection, jewellery, or simply fat wads of cash, Mayweather likes to remind his followers just how wealthy he is.
