BOXING fans have scoffed at the weight of Andy Ruiz Jr after the Mexican posted a video in which he spoke about negotiating a trilogy fight with Anthony Joshua.
The Mexican weighed in for his rematch with AJ at an astonishing 283lbs – 15 pounds heavier than the tubby fighter had been for the first fight on June 1 last year.

Ruiz took to Instagram to speak about getting back in shape and his goals for the future.
He said: “A lot of things happened through that camp, you know I wasn’t really focused.
“I wasn’t in the gym… how I should have but of course it gives me the motivation to come back stronger and fitter and for sure I’m gonna win my way and negotiate the third fight.”
But Brit boxer Dillian Whyte was having none of it.
Chasing a fight with Ruiz Jr himself, the 31-year-old re-posted the video, and captioned it: “This guy need to stop all the talk about this that and all this bs you just lost control it went you your head we made an offer let’s get the fight on man who cares about all that I just want all the smoke”.
“MORE CHANCE OF HAPPENING IN AMERICA”
Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that he has made an offer to Ruiz Jr’s camp for White to be his next opponent.
He told Sky Sports: “We’re still in negotiations with Andy Ruiz.
“That fight has more chance of happening in America. That could be the second fight of the year for Dillian Whyte, or the first one.”
Upon seeing Ruiz Jr in the video, however, many boxing fans were left aghast by just how out of shape the 30-year-old looks, even since the AJ rematch last month.
One commented: “Wow so bigger now………..money has missed road”.
While another added: “He looks bigger than ever, think he ate all the master chef food”.

And one joked: “Biggest fight he’s got is to get off the pies”.
Ruiz Jr has split with his coach Manny Robles Jr, with the man who guided him to his heavyweight titles claiming that the boxer was “out of control” during camp for last month’s rematch with Anthony Joshua.
While White is hoping for Ruiz Jr, it is very possible that his next opponent when he returns to action in April or May could in fact be Alexander Povetkin.
