Chris Eubank Jr launches into stunning rant at ‘moron’ Billy Joe Saunders after controversial Instagram vid

CHRIS EUBANK JR has branded Billy Joe Saunders a “moron” after the WBO champ’s disgraceful video seemingly advocating domestic abuse.

Saunders had his boxing licence suspended after uploading a clip to social media instructing men how to hit their partners.

He was blasted by fans and pundits for his actions.

And Saunders has since apologised as well as pledging a donation to a domestic abuse charity.

But rival Eubank JR, who lost to Saunders in 2014, believes the Brit should get his boxing licence taken away for a long time.

Branding Saunders an “idiot”, Eubank Jr tweeted: “So @bjsaunders – a woman beating, COVID-19 hoaxing, drug abusing, police impersonating Moron.

“Oh yeah paid a vulnerable woman to punch an innocent man in the face as well.

“How many more chances is this idiot going to get before his licence is taken away for a good amount of time?

“As fighters at the top we have the kids looking up to us, copying what we do inside and outside of the ring.

“Having @bjsaunders as a representative of boxing is an injustice to all women suffering in abusive relationships and to the kids who look to learn from us as ambassadors.”

Saunders replied to Eubank Jr’s rant with the quiet emoji and an image of his 2014 victory.

He said earlier this week: “It was a very, very, very bad out of taste joke.

“I am a god-fearing man and I do not condone domestic violence under any circumstances.

“When I created the video in poor taste, I never considered how people might interpret it and instead was trying to make light of the very stressful situation we have found ourselves in, and the heightened emotion of families being confined to each other’s company.

“I will be making a donation from my next fight purse to a British domestic violence charity to help victims and prevent future victims of domestic violence.

“I will also host some workshops and seminars on self-defence for survivors and current or potential sufferers of domestic abuse.

“Unfortunately I cannot take the video back, but I can do my bit to help people who suffer or have suffered and become part of the public voice to prevent domestic violence and change future generations’ attitude and that’s what I am committed to doing.”
