Andy Ruiz Jr would ‘demolish’ Dillian Whyte due to being ‘too good and hard’ for the British boxing heavyweight star

ANDY RUIZ JR would “demolish” Dillian Whyte as he is “too skilled and hard” for the British heavyweight star.

That is the view of Kevin Barry, trainer for former WBO champion Joseph Parker, who believes the Body Snatcher would end up getting knocked out if he fights the Mexican-American.

Whyte (27-1) is due to face the dangerous Alexander Povetkin next and will then get his mandated shot at WBC champ Tyson Fury next year.

But it emerged Ruiz, who lost his heavyweight crowns to Anthony Joshua in December, was recently offered $4m (£3.25m) by Eddie Hearn to face Whyte.

However, Barry believes a clash against Ruiz would be the last fight the Londoner wants.

Speaking to Boxing Social, he said: “I tell you what, and I’ve had this conversation with Joe, and I’ve had it with my son Taylor, and I might be completely wrong.

“But my gut feeling in this fight in looking at Dillian Whyte saying, ‘We offered you $5million.’ ‘No, you only offered me $4m.’ ‘Well, we’re going to offer you $5m.’

“I would think that would be the last fight that Dillian Whyte would want.

“And I pick Andy Ruiz to knock Dillan Whyte out.

“I think Andy is too skilled, hits too hard and I pick Andy to demolish Dillian Whyte absolutely.

“And I think that would be one of the last styles that he would want to be in the ring with at this time.”

Dillian Whyte ranks his top five heavyweights in world and only puts himself THIRD behind Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua
