ROBBIE SAVAGE has announced he is coming out of retirement – signing for tenth-tier side Stockport Town after EIGHT years out of the game.
The former Wales international, 45, hasn’t played since May 2011, when he first ended his career playing for Derby.

But now Savage – who has served as a pundit since originally hanging up his boots and also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing – is set to get back into playing after nearly a decade on Monday night.
Stockport Town – who play in the North West Counties Football League (NWCFL) First Division South announced the news on Twitter.
The club initially teased it, saying: “We’re in the process of signing a former international player.
“Forms are going into the league shortly… any guesses? [Wales flag emoji].”
They then confirmed the news, adding: “Ok folks, our second super Sunday signing is former Welsh International @RobbieSavage8.
“Robbie goes straight into our squad tomorrow night.”
The infamously tough-tackling Savage quote-tweeted the message, writing: “Looking forward to it.”
Stockport Town boss Adam Jones revealed he was trying to “find a blend of hungry young lads and experience”.
Jones added: “When [Savage] said he’d be interested in putting his boots on it was a no brainer for me.”

Savage made 623 appearances as a professional, after working his way through the youth ranks of Manchester United.
The 39-cap Wales international never played first-team for the Red Devils, but enjoyed long spells at Crewe, Leicester, Birmingham, Blackburn and Derby.
Savage’s extraordinary tally of 89 yellow cards is still the seventh-highest in Premier League history.
