And that’s not just due to them winning the Champions League crown in June…
During the past nine months, the Reds have won 24 of their last 25 league matches for 73 points at a rate of 2.92 per game.
That record is streets ahead of anyone else in Europe’s Big Five leagues, with Barcelona holding the second best tally with just 61 points – from two MORE matches.
In fact, the Spanish champions’ point per game tally is miles behind at 2.26 per game.
Inter Milan sit third with 60 points from 27 games, while reigning Premier League champions Manchester City have picked up 59 points from 25 matches.
That does see City sit second, behind only Liverpool, in the points per game category at 2.36ppg.
Paris Saint-Germain (59 points) and Atalanta (56) complete the top six.
Liverpool are the only team unbeaten in that run, with Inter and Atalanta boasting the next best record with THREE defeats apiece.
The Reds are now eight points ahead of second-placed Leicester in the league in their quest for a debut Prem crown.
Man City sit a further six points adrift – 14 points in total amidst a horror run of form, by their standards.
