But he now out of his protective cast and around 10 days away from action.
His time in America is to make sure he is fully recovered, as Solskjaer wants the Premier League’s most expensive player to be featuring regularly once he returns.
United have NINE matches in December as they tie up their Europa League action and try to reach the last stages of the EFL Cup.
They also face Tottenham, Manchester City and Everton during their run of games and want Pogba playing at an important part of their campaign.
Pogba fears he was played with a fracture in his right ankle before getting sidelined since the end of September.
It is suspected he carried the problem and made it worse after playing in the draw against Arsenal and lasting the full 90 minutes.
He has been limited to just five Premier League matches this season due to his ankle problems.
Pogba has been with United since he joined from Juventus in 2016, but Alan Brazil reckons his playing days at Old Trafford are over.
Brazil told talkSPORT: “Someone has just told me, and it’s not just a random text, I know this guy and he does know a lot about United and what has gone on.
“He says: ‘From a very strong source – Pogba will NEVER play for United again’. Now, take that the way you want it, I don’t know who has told him but that is what he’s saying.”
