That means they will pocket £40,000 each after betting on both teams to score and for the game not to finish in a draw in ten fixtures played over the weekend.
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler was among the first to congratulate Wardley on his win, tweeting five clapping hands emoji.
And fellow ex-Anfeld hero Luis Garcia posted his praise too, writing: “Sangria it’s on you mate!”
Wardley’s incredible bet took in games in seven different competitions across three countries.
The winning £160k bet slip
THE shrewd punters bet on both teams to score and for the result not to be a draw in all of the following games.
- Liverpool vs Brighton (2-1)
- Bristol City vs Huddersfield (5-2)
- Stoke vs Blackburn (1-2)
- Wigan vs Reading (1-3)
- Portsmouth vs Altrincham (2-1)
- Ebbsfleet vs Wrexham (2-1)
- Torquay vs Stockport (1-5)
- Dundee vs Queen of the South (1-2)
- Real Sociedad vs Eibar (4-1)
- Blackpool vs Maidstone (3-1)
He bet on both teams to score and for there not to be a draw in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Brighton, Bristol City’s 5-2 demolition of Huddersfield, Stoke’s 2-1 home defeat to Blackburn and Wigan’s 3-1 home defeat to Reading.
Portsmouth’s 2-1 win over Altrincham in the FA Cup made it five from five and the good fortune continued after Ebbsfleet’s 2-1 win over Wrexham.
Torquay got hammered 5-1 at home to Stockport and goals in the 92nd and 93rd minutes meant the roll continued as Queen of the South beat Dundee 2-1 in the Scottish Championship.
Real Sociedad saw off Eibar in La Liga to make it nine from nine and Blackpool came from behind to beat Maidstone United 3-1 yesterday afternoon to complete the perfect 10.
Ahead of the final match in his slip, Wardley tweeted: “Come on Blackpool score and win and I win £160 grand between me and 3 mates @Betfred has offered no cash out so it’s twitchy bum time.”
But two second-half goals from Nathan Delfouneso meant Christmas came early for Wardley and his mates.
