DIEGO MARADONA has urged Boca Juniors to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager.
The Argentine boss, 47, is searching for a new challenge after his five year reign with Tottenham came to an end last month.

Pochettino has been linked to some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Gimnasia boss Maradona ruled himself out of taking over Boca Juniors – but urged them to get in touch with the former Spurs chief.
Speaking to Ole, he said: “I will not go to Boca because I repeat that I do not agree with those who will manage the club.
“The president [Jorge Amor Ameal] was already there and it was a disaster.
“He surrounded himself with [vice-president Mario Pergolini] who believes that he can handle the club.
“And Roman… a club is not run within the locker room.
“It’s much harder than stopping the ball, giving a pass or kicking a free-kick.
“Boca have to take a technician to play and feel what Boca is.
“It’s not easy to sit in that chair. The best of all is Maradona.
“But now I will not go, there at some point it happens. But I would like Mauricio Pochettino.
“You have to call him and convince him to come to lead the biggest team in the world.”
Pochettino visited Maradona earlier this month before he watched Gimnasia’s 2-1 win over Cordoba.
The 47-year-old has also emerged as a top target for West Ham if Manuel Pellegrini is sacked.
But his hopes of joining Manchester United have been slashed after the club told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that his job is safe.
