Dele Alli jokes Tottenham goal and three points gives him perfect Christmas after Lynx Africa and selection box gifts

DELE ALLI joked a goal and three points for Tottenham made his Christmas complete – after getting socks and Lynx Africa as presents.

His 72nd-minute stunner sealed a 2-1 win over Brighton – just hours after boss Jose Mourinho sadly revealed his beloved dog had died.

Harry Kane put Spurs level after Adam Webster’s opener and Dele got Mourinho smiling again with his late strike.

The England star, 23, later took to Twitter to revel in the win with a brilliant tweet.

Alongside tick emojis, he wrote: “Socks. Lynx Africa. Selection box. Three points. Goal. Christmas complete.”

And fans were loving it too.

One said in reply to Dele: “What a tweet.”

Another doctored a photo of Quality Street chocolates to read: “Quality Tweet.”

A fellow user declared: “Absolute baller.”

And one Spurs fan posted: “Best tweet ever! Great game, Dele, and great goal.”

The Tottenham man will be hoping for more reason to celebrate in the new year.

But SunSport’s verdict on the win over Brighton is that Daniel Levy must get his cheque book out in the January sales.

Mourinho is already starting to show signs of his dark days at Manchester United.

Spurs’ first-half performance against the Seagulls – slow and ponderous – was like the Special One’s final days at Old Trafford.

Mourinho will look to inject more life into his side when they travel to Norwich on Saturday evening.
