Bayern Munich lose AGAIN to cap poor week after they were snubbed by Mauricio Pochettino

But an unlikely double from right-back Ramy Bensebaini stunned Bayern leaving them SIXTH in the league.

The defender won the game in added time from the spot after Javi Martinez fouled Marcus Thuram broke into the box.

Bayern suffer their fourth defeat of the season as Monchengladbach stay one point clear of RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga champions are still searching for a temporary manager after sacking Niko Kovac last month.

Hans-Dieter Flick took over as interim and looks set to stay in his role after ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino ruled himself out of a Munich switch.

Argentine Pochettino, 47, is open to listening to offers with no plans to take an extended break from football after being axed by Spurs.

And his availability and willingness to speak to United has only increased the pressure on the board to sack Solskjaer despite their 2-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham on Wednesday.

The only setback is that Pochettino will need to pay Spurs a whopping £12.5m if he takes another Premier League job this season.

Chairman Daniel Levy included the clause in his sacking to try and deter rival clubs from appointing him as manager.

Pochettino confirmed on Monday that he is ready to listen to offers for a new role.
