Barcelona players usually travel to the stadium from their homes but will congregate at the Princess Sofia hotel – where the Real Madrid players will also be – according to Spanish outlet Sport.

Both teams will leave the hotel at the same time and travel to the game in unmarked buses accompanied by police.

However, there is no chance of them crossing paths in the hotel beforehand as each team has been designated a separate area.

The hotel is around 600m from the stadium.

Real will fly to the Catalan city on the day of the game before heading to the hotel.

And Barca’s players have been asked to meet at the Sofia at midday ahead of the evening kick-off.

Ernesto Valverde’s team are expected to eat together before heading off later in the day.
