Inter boss and former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly pushing for the midfielder to sign a deal with the Italian giants.

Conte worked with the combative Vidal during a successful spell at Juventus.

Mundo Deportivo claim that the Chilean hasn’t closed the door for the opportunity of a move to Inter.

When asked about his current contract with Barca, he said: ”It is not me who makes the decision on plays or not, that is down to the coach.

“But the people will see in the end and I am calm because I just want to keep making the most of the opportunities given to me and to carry on aiming to win titles and lift trophies in the future”.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Barcelona would be willing to sell Vidal for £17million.

Rumours of Vidal leaving the Nou Camp follow reports he stormed out of training last week.

It is totally out of character for him as he usually stays behind after training for shooting practice with fellow first-team players.

According to ESPN, he was angered to learn that he was not in the starting lineup for the El Clasico match against Real Madrid which ended 0-0.

Barca boss Ernesto Valverde left him among the substitutes.

He’s started just five matches for Barcelona this season, which has reportedly prompted this upcoming January exit.

However, when he has come off the bench he has scored- with four goals to his name in La Liga this campaign.

One of those goals include a late winner against Leganes last month.

Vidal joined the Spanish giants from Bayern Munich in 2017 and has made 71 appearances for the club.

However last summers’ signing of Frenkie de Jong has moved Vidal down the pecking order.

Jong signed from Ajax and has started for every fixture for the club this campaign and has amassed the most minutes across the entire team.
