KSI mocks Tommy Fury by saying ‘he needs me more than I need him’ after being called out by Love Island star for fight

KSI has claimed he is on a “different level” to Tommy Fury as he stated he has no interest in a fight against the Love Island star.

The 26-year-old cruiserweight – who outpointed YouTube rival Logan Paul last month in Los Angeles – is keen to carry on fighting inside the squared circle.

One of those to call out the Arsenal fan was Fury, 20, who later defended his actions by stating the pair would be fighting on an even playing field – despite the two competing in different divisions.

The heavyweight said: “I respect KSI for getting in the ring. He did say he wants to fight [again] after the fight [against Logan Paul].

“I am a young man myself and everyone saying, ‘Oh, a professional boxer calling out a YouTuber’. But isn’t he signed with Eddie Hearn? Didn’t he just fight on DAZN?

“Has he got a professional licence? Yes. Did he fight without a headguard? Yes. Did he fight the same as a professional? Yes.

“Have I had a million fights? No. Have I got any titles? No. Have I had a lot of fights? No. It is quite an even playing field so why not get it on?”

ARE YOU FUR REAL?

But KSI has revealed that a bout against the unbeaten 20-year-old is of no interest of him, as he declared that Fury needs him more.

Asked by Fault magazine whether he would be willing to face Fury, KSI said: “If I’m honest, not really.

“He needs me more than I need him, like way more. I’m on a completely different level to him.

“If he wants a fight he can fight one of my coaches Viddal Riley, but he won’t though because Viddal would f*** him up.”

Bookmakers Ladbrokes have priced the potential fight at even-money to happen, with Fury the heavy favourite to win at 1/16, with KSI 8/1 to emerge victorious.

Speaking last month, KSI claimed he’s only willing in celebrity match-ups as he knows that’s where the money is.

He confessed: “I’m gonna fight again, but I don’t think I need to fight Logan again.

“I think it would make more sense to fight celebs, that would draw more attention, me fighting a journeyman wouldn’t bring numbers. I’m a business-man, I do things that make sense.”
