Anthony Joshua confirms ‘one trillion percent’ he will fight Andy Ruiz Jr again but will unify titles first

ANTHONY JOSHUA is adamant he will have a trilogy fight against Andy Ruiz Jr.

The two boxers are tied at one apiece, with AJ getting his revenge for defeat in the first with a comfortable points win against the Mexican earlier this month.

But despite righting the wrongs of that crushing June loss, Joshua is keen to have one more scrap against Ruiz Jr to seal the deal.

But it is likely to come after a mandatory fight – likely to be against Kubrat Pulev – and hopefully an undisputed clash against either Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury.

Speaking to Sky Sports about going at it against versus Ruiz Jr, Joshua said: “One trillion percent, I love boxing, I love this game.

“I always said I’d fight him in Tijuana, with his uncle as referee.

“It doesn’t always have to be in the bright lights of an arena. I just love the game.

“Once I’ve gone through my mandatories, god willing I can get this undisputed championship fight underway.

“Me and Andy will soon see each other in the ring again. Same division same era, I’m here to take them all on.”

JOSHUA TO SPAR FURY?

Joshua’s main aim will be a fight against whoever the WBC champ is next year to be crowned undisputed heavyweight king.

Wilder puts that strap on the line against Fury on February 22 in their own rematch following their controversial draw in 2018.

And AJ has offered to help the Gypsy King in his quest by sparring with him ahead of the Wilder fight and hopes his fellow Brit wins the title.

He said: “Fury if you need me, if you need me for sparring – we’re going to fight one day, I’ve sparred Tyson fury when we were kids anyway – I’ll go out to America to spar Tyson fury to get him ready for this Wilder fight.

“I would like that fight because I think Fury would fight me faster than Wilder would.

“I think he might beat Deontay Wilder next time they’re out.

“I think Tyson Fury would fight me quicker than Deontay Wilder would.

“If that’s the case I want him to win cos I just want to fight.

“To have that fight on British soil is… man! Can you imagine that!”
