      Former England and Man Utd star comes out of retirement aged 39 to play for Wrexham in shock transfer

      BEN FOSTER has come out of retirement to sign for ambitious Wrexham.The former England and Manchester United goalkeeper, 39, called time on his career in September.

      But Foster will now turn out for Wrexham after the plucky National League side coaxed him back to the beautiful game on a deal until the end of the season.
      The Welsh outfit are top of the table and looking to return to League One.
      Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have pumped millions into restoring Wrexham’s pride on the pitch.
      However, their promotion hopes took a hit this month when No1 Phil Lainton was ruled out for at least six weeks with a knee ligament injury.

      But Wrexham are now set for a huge boost with experienced stopper Foster joining the squad.
      It comes after the goalie revealed earlier this month he had already turned down an approach from Phil Parkinson.

      And it won’t be his first time playing in Wales, with Foster making 21 appearances for Wrexham during a loan from Stoke City in the 2004/05 season.
      Foster said: “I’m over the moon. I’ve been at the Club an hour this morning and it seems a really nice place. Everyone is down to earth and the manager’s top class.

      The veteran rejected an approach from Newcastle in order to focus on his social media career.
      But Wrexham will be hoping he hasn’t lost his appetite for success as they lead Notts County in the race for automatic promotion to League Two.
      Foster’s stunning career to date has so far spanned 22 years.

      Vieira’s sacking – which came after a 12-game winless run – meant Palace sought a quick solution and Hodgson, 75, was readily available as he was enjoying semi-retirement.
      But according to The Mail, a long-term appointment is being considered in the form of Nottingham Forest manager Cooper.
      Palace are aware he will not be available until the end of the season as he attempts to keep The Tricky Trees from relegation.

      But the Eagles are hoping talks can begin in the summer assuming Hodgson prevents them from dropping out of the Premier League.
      They sit three points above the relegation zone in 12th place, one point ahead of Cooper’s Forest.

      Speaking to Tuttosport, he said: “I loved Liverpool a lot because I was a bit fan of Steven Gerrard, who made me dream… and so therefore I followed the Reds.”
      He then went on to add: “My other idol was Zinedine Zidane.”

      The Gabon international was also axed from Graham Potter’s Champions League squad after Chelsea’s huge January spending spree.
      And all of this has led to Spanish publication SPORT claiming that “everything indicates that he could be released this summer” by the Blues.

      Aubameyang is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2024 and currently earns £160,000-a-week.
      We reported yesterday how Barcelona are keen on bringing him back.
      That was after Aubameyang was pictured celebrating with his former team-mates in the dressing room after their 2-1 triumph over Real Madrid in Sunday’s El Clasico.
      The forward still has an excellent relationship with the Blaugrana stars, especially Ousmane Dembele with whom he played at Borussia Dortmund.

      It is no surprise that both Chelsea and Manchester United want to sign the Nigerian, 24, who has 25 goals this term.
      There is concern the move which brought Osimhen from Lille in a £70.1million deal in 2020 could give the club a major problem.

      It seems obvious that the actual deal was about Osimhen and a way of spending money on young players which are not included in FFP rules.
