ANTHONY GORDON kept a heartwarming promise to a young Newcastle fan after scoring his first goal for England.
Gordon, 23, scored his first goal for the Three Lions on Sunday as Lee Carsley signed off as interim manager with a 5-0 thrashing of Ireland.
It wasn’t just a special moment for Gordon, but a touching moment for young Magpies fan Ivy who saw her hero recreate her favourite celebration.
Gordon had met Ivy, who was diagnosed with hyper IGE syndrome, last month and asked the youngster what her favourite celebration was.
Young Ivy pulled off her best cartwheel and Gordon promised to do exactly the same the next time he scored.
And the pacy winger kept to his word after he tucked home England’s second goal against the Irish.
