MANCHESTER UNITED have been mocked by their own fans following a social media post this afternoon.
The official Man Utd X account posted an “Ultimate Matchday Checklist” ahead of their clash with Tottenham at Old Trafford.
The post was aimed towards Red Devils fans and offered them a list of things to do or buy before the game kicked off.
It was shared with the caption: “Old Trafford: We’re back. Make sure you’re prepared for our first home game of 2024.”
And showed a list of things for United supporters to do before kick off including “Matchday programme”, “Buy matchday shirt” and “Make United predictions”.
But it was a different checkbox that left fans teasing the Manchester club with one reading: “Game-specific NFTs.”

The bizarre inclusion appeared to be urging fans to buy non-fungible tokens made by the club ahead of the Spurs game.
Fans couldn’t believe that NFT’s had been included in an “ultimate” matchday checklist and let the club know by trolling them on social media.
One wrote: “Keys, phone, wallet, game-specific NFT.”
While another added: “Will never forget being a kid heading to the ground and my Granddad making sure I had my ticket, my scarf, and my game specific NFTs.”

A third joked: “Personally, I never leave the house without my game specific NFT on match days.”
And a fourth chimed in writing: “I forgot to buy my game-specific NFTs… that’s it, day is ruined.”
Another fan slammed the post as “absolutely laughable”.
Despite the social media posts going down like a lead balloon, things looked better on the pitch for Man Utd against Spurs.
Erik ten Hag’s side earned themselves a point in a 2-2 draw with Ange Postecoglou’s high-flying Tottenham side.
