  • Kick-off: Arsenal 0-0 Man City

We are back underway at Wembley.

The half-time team talks are over and the players are ready to go again.

Man City get the second half started.

  • HT: Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Once Arsenal found their footing in the game, they have managed to shutdown many of Man City’s attacks.

Pressing high up the pitch, Guardiola’s side have found it difficult to get out under the press.

This shows where the Arsenal players have most been operating in the first forty-five minutes.

  • HT: Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Despite dominating possession, the stats really show how little Aaron Ramsdale has had to do in that half.

Pep Guardiola will want to address that in the second half.

Erling Haaland has been kept very quiet so far today.

  • HT: Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Stuart Atwell brings the first half to a close.

We are all square at Wembley Stadium.

Hopefully, we will see some goals in the second half.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

45+2. Man City seemed to dominate the opening 20 minutes of the game but since then it has been all Arsenal.

Kai Havertz has had two big chances for the North Londoners.

Ramsdale has had just routine saves to make by comparison.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    45. Alvarez robs the Arsenal player of the ball and goes charging forward.

He gets to the byline and slides the ball across the six yard box.

Saliba reacts well to clear the ball.

We are going to have three minutes of added time.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    43. Silva looks to drive at the Arsenal defence but Timber reads him well and tackles the Portuguese midfielder.

Rodri spots Ramsdale well off his line and tries an effort from the halfway line.

The Arsenal keeper is scrambling back and is pleased to see the ball land on the roof of the net.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    41. Man City do miss the influence of Kevin De Bruyne, pulling the strings in the heart of midfield.

    Then again, any team would.

Havertz should have done better with that second chance, he made the save all too easy for Ortega.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    39. Arteta will be pleased with what he is seeing from his team now.

Man City are having to deal with wave after wave of Arsenal attack.

Saka cuts it back from the byline to Havertz, he shoots, but Ortega saves once again.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    37. Man City are struggling to get out of their own half at the moment.

Good pressing by Arsenal to put them under pressure.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    35. Arsenal have turned the tide in the last ten minutes.

They have dominated possession and are putting City under pressure in the final third.

Saka picks the ball up on the right and cuts onto his left foot, trying to bend it into the bottom corner, it goes well wide of the goal.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    33. Stuart Atwell has been very consistent with his refereeing today.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have a corner after some confusion in the Man City defence.

The delivery is poor and does not beat the man at the near post.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    31. The ball is passed back to Ramsdale who takes his time to clear.

Haaland almost closes down the keeper but he manages to punt it clear.

Alvarez takes the ball down the wing but it is adjudged to have gone out of play.

As he kicks the ball away, the referee shows him a yellow card.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    29. It has been a feisty start to this game.

Arsenal have started to try and impose themselves on the City defence after a nervy start.

Man City are happy to hold onto the ball and make Arsenal chase it.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    27. Havertz is booked for clipping the heels of Stones.

While the Arsenal fans disagree, it was a good decision by the referee as he was never going to get anywhere near the ball and was just looking to stop the break.

Man City look to recompose themselves after that scare with the Havertz chance.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City – Chance for Havertz

    25. Ben White does well down the right flank as he passes the ball inside to Kai Havertz.

He turns and shoots but Ortega makes a good save with his feet.

Martinelli is on the follow up, but Stones blocks his goal-bound shot.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    23. The season is no more than 23 minutes old and already we have seen enough of Mikel Arteta waving his hand around demanding for officials to book players.

The Spaniard needs to realise that every challenge is not a yellow card, even if it is a foul.

Arteta seems to think they are however, but he needs to be careful having already been booked himself.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    21. City are certainly looking to put a high-press on their opponents.

Giving them no time to dwell on the ball in defence.

There are quite a lot of empty seats in Wembley today, usually a game such as this is a complete sell-out.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    19. It seems the officials are not willing to put up with any dissent this season, as we have seen from the two early yellow cards so far.

Silva is penalised for a foul on Declan Rice on the halfway line.

Neither keeper has been forced into a save so far today.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    17. City are dominating possession at the moment.

Arsenal are getting everyone behind the ball, trying to make it difficult for Man City to break them down.

The downside to this is that when Arsenal win the ball back, there are no options for turning defence into attack.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta is given a yellow card for demanding that Rodri is booked.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    15. Grealish has been kept quiet so far.

He manages to work the ball to Haaland who lays it off to Rodri.

His shot from outside the box deflects off Partey and goes narrowly wide of Ramsdale’s post.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    13. Bernardo Silva against Jurrien Timber will be an interesting battle this afternoon.

Man City seem to be targeting that right flank when the chance presents itself.

So far, the new Arsenal signing is standing firm to the challenge.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    11. Saka needs to show more strength in the challenges this season.

He goes down all too easily and referees are noticing this.

It results in him not getting decisions, even when he is fouled.

Boy who cried wolf springs to mind.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    9. Saka gets forward and looks to cross.

He claims he is fouled by Akanji but the replay shows it was a good challenge by the City full back.

Saka cannot believe he did not get the decision.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    7. Partey is given a yellow card for stupidly kicking the ball away.

Referees have been told to clamp down on that this season.

Arsenal come forward looking to test the City back line.
