TYSON FURY knew the uppercut would be the shot to finish Dillian Whyte from the very first round.
The 33-year-old Gyspy King made a solid start to his WBC heavyweight title defence on April 23 in front of 94,000 Wembley fans, even though Whyte sprung a surprise by starting in the southpaw stance.
âThat shot down the middle. Just take your time because heâll fall right into it.â
After the first round SugarHill Steward identified the opening for @Tyson_Fury.

But the sharpest eyes in the stadium were trainer SugarHill Stewardâs who told him during the very first interval that Whyte, 34, was vulnerable to dipping down into the power shot that eventually did for him in the sixth.
After watching just three minutes of action, the American coaching mastermind told Fury: âThat shot down the middle, take your time and he is going to fall on to it.
âThat shot you threw hurt him, it woke his a** up.â
Fury didnât even throw an uppercut in the opening round but he tagged Whyte with a couple of right hands that were enough evidence for Steward to make his bold call.

Fury will lose âbest part of his careerâ if he retires now, warns promoter
Whyte, after more than 1,000 days waiting for his shot at the crown, never seemed to get going in the bout.
Trainer Xavier Miller kept telling him to tighten his defence but he had no answer for Furyâs attacks.
After just four stanzas Fury could be heard telling Steward, nephew of Kronk gym legend Emanuel Steward, that he was âboxing the head offâ his Brixton foe.
And he detonated a slashing uppercut on the Body Snatcherâs jaw right at the end of the sixth to retain his belt and later claim he was sailing off into retirement.
But it remains to be seen whether Fury will hang up his gloves for long with his promoter Frank Warren claiming heâd be throwing away his prime years if he calls it a day now.
There is also no shortage of fights for the Brit to take with former heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz jr keen to fight him next.
Furyâs US-based promoter Bob Arum also hinted at the undefeated heavyweight coming out of retirement to fight Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk.
