TOTTENHAM and Nuno Espirito Santo have a ‘number of issues’ to resolve if he is to become their new boss.
The ex-Wolves chief is the latest to be linked with the Spurs vacancy.
Nuno is believed to be keen on the job and Tottenham are set to hold talks with him — despite having previously ruled him out of the running.
But he is still not a foregone conclusion, with a club source admitting; “There are still a number of issues.”
One ‘issue’ is believed to be transfers with Nuno, 47, wanting a major say on signings.
But Spurs appointed Fabio Paratici in June to control recruitment.
Chairman Daniel Levy also remains unconvinced by Nuno’s pragmatic style of play and reluctance to blood young players.
Spurs have been looking for a new permanent boss since sacking Jose Mourinho in April.
Julian Nagelsmann, Brendan Rodgers, Erik ten Hag, Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte were all linked.

Paulo Fonseca, Gennaro Gattuso and Graham Potter have been sounded out in recent weeks.
Levy told fans he wanted to restore the club’s DNA by bringing in a boss who would play exciting football and blood youngsters from their acclaimed academy.
He now faces a race against time to appoint someone before the first players return to pre-season training in a little over a week’s time.
