PETER CROUCH took a brutal dig at wife Abbey Clancy after admitting he might follow Tyson Fury’s footsteps.
Appearing on TNT Sports, presenter Jules Breach asked Crouch and co-commentator Ally McCoist about the heavyweight showdown between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk tonight.
As part of the preview for the fight, the Gypsy King revealed how he has not spoken to his wife, Paris, for three months while in camp.
When Breach mentioned this to Crouch and McCoist, the former Liverpool and Tottenham striker nodded.
He then quipped: “I might take up boxing.”
The joke got laughter from Breach and McCoist.

However, perhaps fearing repercussions from Abbey later on, Crouch added: “I don’t mean that Jules, it’s Christmas.”
Speaking about the actual fight, Crouch said: “It’s going to be an interesting one.
“I’d love for Fury to win it but I just think Usyk will.
“When you watch him train and his coach it looks like he’s built differently.”

McCoist then reignited the joke, adding: “Me and Crouchy are getting into boxing camp.”
Crouch then replied: “We’ll have a bit of sparring.”
The 43-year-old tied the knot with Abbey in 2011, having met in 2006.
They have two daughters and two sons together.
Abbey and Crouch were involved in a steamy advert last month which saw the former England ace tied to a pool table with the model in red lingerie.
Though she admitted it was an “excruciating” experience.
