LIVERPOOL have identified two alternatives to Xabi Alonso in their search for a new manager, according to reports.
The Reds are on the lookout for a new boss with Jurgen Klopp stepping down at the end of the season.
Alonso is believed to be the club’s first choice amid his stunning season at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 42-year-old former Liverpool player has led the German side to top of the Bundesliga, the semi-final of the DFP-Pokal and the last-16 of the Europa League.
With Alonso also attracting interest from Bayern Munich, Anfield chiefs are aware they need other options.
Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim and Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann are on Liverpool’s wishlist, claims The Telegraph.
