When was the last time a Premier League fixture was played on Christmas Eve?

Chelsea vs Wolves will be the first Premier League fixture to take place on Christmas Eve for a whopping 28 years.

On December 24, 1995, Leeds beat Manchester United 3-1 in a Christmas cracker at Elland Road.

Goals from Gary McAllister, Anthony Yeboah and Brian Deane handed supporters of the Yorkshire outfit a present to remember.

It’s the only fixture that has been played on Christmas Eve since the Premier League was formed in 1992.
