GARY NEVILLE has doubled down on his prediction that Arsenal will win the Premier League this season.
The Manchester United legend initially made the claim after treble winners Manchester City suffered a shock defeat to Wolves in September.
And while he still thinks Mikel Arteta and his team will lift the trophy at the end of the campaign, the former defender has outlined some concerns that could see them drop out of the title race.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Neville said: “I think that Arsenal can win the league this season.
“Despite starting slow, the football will come, the football that we saw from them last season.
“The fact that they’ve started a little bit slower, I never think is a bad thing, they’re sat there in the pack behind [top].

“My worry with Arsenal is a centre-forward, I like [Gabriel] Jesus and [Eddie] Nketiah but for me they are a number two and three, they need a number one.
“But I do think that when the football comes, and it could come after Christmas at March which is the right time, they could be the opposite of last season – a bit of a slow start and stronger finish.”
Arsenal currently sit third in the Premier League table, just one point behind leaders Man City.
The Gunners have lost just one match so far this season – against Newcastle following a controversial VAR decision.

Arteta blasted officials and VAR after the match, calling them an “absolute disgrace”.
However, earlier this week PGMOL chief Howard Webb insisted that the correct decisions were made throughout the game.
