FANS slammed Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega after his mistake allowed Southampton to score.
The Saints opened the scoring through Sekou Mara’s well-taken goal and moments later Moussa Djenepo doubled the hosts’ lead.
The forward picked up the ball inside City’s half and darted towards goal.
Djenepo quickly spotted Ortega miles off his line and curled the ball over the German and into the back of the net.
That sparked criticism on social media with many fans questioning the keeper’s positioning and overall ability.
One supporter wrote: “What is Ortega doing ðŸ˜.”

And a third said: “Ortega is worst than [Zack] Steffen ðŸ˜.”
Another commented: “Sub off Ortega.”
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp was also perplexed by Ortega, saying: “I’ve no idea what he’s trying to do there from a goalkeeper’s point of view.”

Ortega joined City last summer and has been Pep Guardiola’s pick in goal for the Carabao Cup this season.
He kept a clean sheet in the third-round win over Chelsea and featured in the last-round against Liverpool.
The 30-year-old also played in the 4-0 FA Cup win over the Blues on Sunday, though had little to do as his side dominated.
