A FOOTBALL team have gone viral after attempting an audacious set-piece routine – bit it didn’t quite go to plan.
Over in the Russian Premier League, second bottom Khimki tried a ‘ring ‘o roses’ corner.
Five players formed a circle held hands and jumped around and around hoping to lose their marker before the ball came into the box.
However, the ball floated harmlessly away from all five attackers.
It left their opponents Ural Yekaterinburg standing confused before going on to win the game 2-1.
Social media found the tactics deployed hilarious, one fan said: “I find it incredible that a coach can get a group of players to buy into something like this lol.”

Another replied: “Even if this doesn’t work in losing their markers at least they’ve won the mind games, as this manoeuvre is clear to strike fear in the hearts of any opponent.”
One fan joked: “Interesting tactic. Make yourself dizzy before attempting to run, jump and then head the ball. It’s foolproof.”
A Reddit user claimed it was something you’d expect to see in hit TV show Ted Lasso.
Some supporters were more complimentary suggesting if the ball in was better it could work: “I don’t blame them for trying something different, I’d love to see more innovation in the sport.”
