MANCHESTER UNITED hero Robin van Persie has reportedly turned down the offer to be part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff at the club.
Ten Hag, who is inching towards being named manager, wanted fellow Dutchman Van Persie as part of his backroom staff.

But the 38-year-old has now rejected the chance to head back to Old Trafford, according to ESPN via Soccer News.
The news comes as a blow to Ten Hag, before he has even been confirmed as the next Manchester United boss.
Van Persie is understood to be happy with his current position at Dutch outfit Feyenoord, another of his former clubs.
