Meanwhile, United have reportedly made an enquiry for Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, who is said to be valued at £50m.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are prepared to make an “offer Barcelona can’t refuse” for Frenkie de Jong, according to reports from Spain.

“I’ll speak with Real soon – I’m now looking for regularity for the next few years. It’s important.”
Man United, Arsenal, and Tottenham have been tracking the striker.
United keen on Sangare
Man United and Chelsea are set to do battle for PSV Eindhoven ace Ibrahim Sangaré.

Man United enquire about Bastoni
Man United have enquired about the possibility of signing Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, according to reports.
The 23-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring him to North London, but he will now have to fend off competition from Man Utd.
According to The Mail, the Red Devils have opened up a dialogue with Inter in an attempt to snatch the defender away from Tottenham.
It comes after a difficult season for United’s centre-backs – with Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane failing to form a solid partnership.
And back-up defenders Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones have struggled to secure a consistent run in the team, meaning new boss Erik ten Hag is set to dip into the transfer market.
Ron the machine
Cristiano Ronaldo is a machine that won’t stop any time soon, according to his Man United team-mate Diogo Dalot.
Dalot told United’s media: “I think the stats can speak for themselves.
“He’s a machine, like I like to call him. Inside of the pitch, outside of the pitch, the way he works, the way he drives himself every single day to perform like this, to give us these goals and these performances.
“I think it’s a plus for this club and for the fans and, hopefully, we can stay with him for many, many years. I know he is not going to be here forever but I’m sure that he will play football for a few more years yet.”
Man United plot Nunez bid
Man United are prepared to rival Liverpool for the signing of Benfica ace Darwin Nunez.
Liverpool are said to be preparing an £85m bid for the attacker.
But the Red Devils will match Liverpool’s bid despite the price, according to ESPN.
Ragnick’s Man United failure explained
Ralf Rangnick failed to make an impact at Man United because he wasn’t given enough time.
That’s the view of Real Madrid ace David Alaba who has been working with Rangnick since he became Austria’s new manager.
Alaba, who labelled Rangnick world class, told The Athletic: “He has been really good, you can see we have a really good plan and you can see it works for us on the pitch.
“He doesn’t want us to let the opponents breathe air. It is good for us. I have known Ralf since I was 18 years old and he is a world-class coach.
“What he did in the past is something special and now I am seeing it close up. He showed what he can do at Leipzig, Salzburg and Hoffenheim.
“He didn’t have a lot of time in Manchester. He has a really good plan and knows a lot about football.”
Eriksen given transfer advice
Christian Eriksen has been told he can join a better club than Man United by Gabby Agbonlahor.
Eriksen’s been linked with a number of clubs this summer including United.
But Agbonlahor reckons United isn’t the best club on the list of teams interested in the Danish midfielder.
Agbonlahor shared his view with talkSPORT and said: “I am sure he has got so many options.
“Talk about Manchester United, but, I do not know, maybe he can do better than Manchester United.”
Man United target offered to Arsenal
Arsenal are being offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-half Manuel Akanji.
Now Akanji’s representatives are looking for a move to the Premier League and are targeting Arsenal as potential buyers.
They are highlighting the fact that Akanji, who has also been linked to Manchester United, is a Swiss team-mate of Gunners ace Granit Xhaka who impressed in an friendly against England in March.
And they are confident that Dortmund’s current £21million asking price – similar to the fee they have just paid to sign Schlotterbeck from Freiburg – is certain to drop in the coming weeks.
De Jong’s ‘perfect’ for United
Barcelona ace Frenkie de Jong will be the “perfect fit” for Man United’s midfield in the wake of Paul Pogba’s exit.
Pogba left United this summer after his contract expired.
His exit has left a void in United’s midfield that transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reckons De Jong is apt to fill.
Di Marzio told wettfreunde: “De Jong for Man Utd is perfect for next season where Pogba is not playing anymore.
“It depends on Barcelona if they have to sacrifice him.”
All Said and done
West Ham are ready to listen to offers for Said Benrahma this summer and are still interested in bringing Jesse Lingard back to the club.
Should West Ham find a buyer for Benrahma, they are keen to recoup the £30million fee and not sell cheaply.
West Ham are interested in bringing Jesse Lingard back to the London Stadium after his deal at Manchester United expired.
Man United receive De Jong boost
Man United’s transfer pursuit of Frenkie de Jong have been boosted by Barcelona’s financial woes.
Barca may be forced to sell the midfielder due to economic difficulties, according to transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio.
He told wettfreunde: “(Frenkie) De Jong because he will be back with his former coach, Ten Hag. De Jong is perfect for every top team in the world.
“If Barcelona will sell De Jong, it is only because of financial problems, not because they want to sell De Jong because Xavi loves him.
“If they will sell him it is only because they have problems and they will not sign any new players.
“He is an incredible player for the team.”

Morr where that came from
Ravel Morrison wowed fans with a stunning free-kick for Jamaica in a 3-1 win over Suriname.
Jamaica were awarded a free-kick at least 25 yards from goal and Morrison whipped the ball up and over the wall before it nestled in the top corner.
Supporters on social media were quickly raving about the free-kick and lavished praise on the ex-Man United midfielder.

United urged to sign Timber
Man United need to sign Ajax ace Jurrien Timber to get the club to a higher level.
That’s the opinion of former Ajax star Marciano Vink, who reckons United are lacking the quality Timber will provide.
Vink told ESPN: “He’s a good defender but most of all he anticipates really well.
“Those kinds of players you need to bring in to Man Utd to get to a higher level. I know for England they’re not common or well-known names but you need to start playing football again.
“I have seen many matches of Man Utd and it was lacking pace, football, there were too many players satisfied playing for Man United and not eager to win, not eager to play for the club.
“[Ten Hag] has to change the behaviour, mentality in the club and it’s going to take a while.”
Van Gaal launches Woodward attack
Louis van Gaal has taken aim at former Man United chief Ed Woodward.
Woodward has been replaced by new CEO Richard Arnold who could help Erik ten Hag be successful as United’s manager.
Van Gaal told Voetball International: “There is now a new leadership, it was Woodward and now it is Richard Arnold.
“And that can make the difference, so we have to wait and see. He [Ten Hag] has a lot of confidence. So who am I to say something about that?”
Phillips gets big club warning
Leeds star Kalvin Phillips will have limited game time if he moves to Man United, Liverpool, or Man City, according to Glen Johnson.
But Johnson reckons United could make a swoop for Phillips if they fail to recruit Declan Rice from West Ham.
Johnson told bettingodds: “I don’t think he’d get much gametime at either of those clubs if I’m being honest.
“I’m a fan of his and I think he’s a fantastic player, but all of those clubs have got many players in his position. I think it all depends on what happens with other players.
“I don’t want to keep on bringing up Declan Rice, but I think the clubs that don’t get him will certainly be more keen to go for Phillips. I think it all depends on other transfers as there’s no point in moving clubs to not play.
“Unless there’s more movement in terms of outgoings, then I don’t see him playing much at either club.”
Prem giants battle for Botman
Man United and Tottenham are interested in signing Lille star Sven Botman, according to reports.
Newcastle wanted to sign him in January but failed to agree a fee with the French side, who rejected a bid worth £30million.
But Toon retain an interest in the defender along with AC Milan, United and Spurs, according to Gianluca DiMarzio.
However, the journalist claims Milan are not prepared to meet Lille’s asking price which is believed to be around £34-38m.
Lille’s hefty demands could play into the hands of the Premier League sides who will likely have a bigger budget than Milan.
Van Persie’s love for United
But Van Persie still has a huge amount of respect for Man United and England despite rejecting a coaching role under Erik ten Hag.
He said: “The respect of the fans is enormous. When I came back a few years later with Fenerbahce, after winning the league with United and Sir Alex, I still got a gigantic appreciation from the people.
“England is a great country to live in. The people are warm and friendly. It’s a 40-minute flight from Rotterdam, but you end up in a totally different world. A very beautiful world.
“The football also suited me enormously. I continue to think it’s the most beautiful league in the world. The fields are like green pool tables. All the stadiums are big and always full – and England absolutely breathes soccer.”
Van Persie explains United rejection
Robin van Persie has revealed he turned down a coaching role at Man United to give his family some stability in the Netherlands.
Van Persie’s currently a coach at Feyenoord, and didn’t want to uproot his family who are settled in the region following his hectic playing career that took him around the world.
He said to Life After Football: “My son and daughter are important right now.
“In London, when I played at Arsenal, we moved five times. We also lived in Manchester and Istanbul.
“All in all, we were away for almost fourteen years. But then we thought ‘what’s good for the kids now?’ and felt a little stability would be nice.”
Tottenham close in on Torres
Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a part-exchange deal with Villarreal for defender Pau Torres.
The deal will see Torres move to White Hart Lane in place of Giovani Lo Celso, who will make his loan switch to the La Liga side permanent, according to Sky Italia.
The news will be a blow to Man United who are also keen on recruiting Torres this summer.
Van Gaal fires Timber warning
Louis van Gaal has warned Ajax star Jurrien Timber against a transfer to Man United this summer.
Van Gaal doubts Timber will get the playing time he needs at Old Trafford despite possessing the ability to succeed in the Prem.
Van Gaal said: “I think a player of his quality can play in the Premier League. That is not a problem.
“If he has to make this big step now, that’s the question.
“It is not so wise I think [to move to United]. He has to play.”
Good morning Man Utd fans
Man Utd centre-back Harry Maguire has paid his respects to the victims of the Munich air disaster at the memorial.
