CHELSEA fans have been left stunned by the team manager Graham Potter has selected to face Wolves.
Reece James, despite a brilliant display versus AC Milan, has surprisingly been benched along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell.
The Blues’ squad depth really shows with Mateo Kovacic, Hakim Ziyech and even Edouard Mendy not in the starting XI.
Supporters did not believe it when they saw the team news with one saying: “Sterling, Aubameyang and James are their biggest attacking threats and they’re all benched. Potter is not serious man.”
More were left shocked: “That injury hit Wolves XI matches ours. We’ve just made a 65/35 game in our favour to 50/50. Baffling.”
Another was less annoyed at the ex-Brighton boss saying, “he’s gone full Pep” referencing Man City boss Pep Guardiola’s renowned tinkering with the team.
