EX-CHELSEA star Oscar saw a return to Brazil scuppered after club Shanghai SIPG reportedly decided against signing documents allowing the deal to go ahead.
The two-time Premier League winner, 30, has spent the last five years playing in China for Shanghai following a £54million transfer.
However, Oscar was hoping to end his spell in Asia and sign for Brazilian side Flamengo.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Oscar signed a contract with Flamengo on August 5.
But Shanghai “didn’t sign final documents and so decided against verbal agreement”.
Oscar even took pictures in the Flamengo top, confirming his desire to seal the move.
