The former Manchester United chief’s 18-month deal is up this summer.

But the Scot, 58, has agreed terms to stay and build for the future.

He is also demanding his players finish the season strong, with the Hammers visiting West Brom tonight before Sunday’s final game with Southampton.

Moyes said: “We’re not there yet and I’ll probably wait for these games then see if we can tie it up.”

A Europa League place is still up for grabs to cap a superb West Ham season.

Moyes added: “Our physical stats are up, our football has improved no end.

“I can only see it going in one direction — but the results have not quite come.

“It could be down to a couple of injuries but it could be that we’ve just not taken the opportunities.

“I can’t complain — good players and good professionals make your job easier.

“I don’t know enough about whether it has been here always but it is here now. There is a real good spirit.

“I think we can progress again. Everything is in place.”

West Brom chief Sam Allardyce must rally his relegated troops to go again after losing 2-1 to Liverpool keeper Alisson’s injury-time header on Sunday.

Big Sam said: “It is going to be the hardest job since I got here with the dejection and the disappointment.”
