Check out his full run-down of the top 10 below.10. Fernando Alonso
    World titles – 2
The Spaniard is a remarkable driver, blessed with skill, pace and a cunning that means he should have more than the two F1 titles he owns.
But for poor choice when it comes to making decisions about which teams to race for, he should have been rivalling Hamilton for titles.
    9. Sir Stirling Moss
    World titles – 0
Without doubt the best driver never to win a Formula One world title.
Fabulously charming and such a wonderful character.
The Brit won 212 of the 529 races he entered.
    8. Alain Prost
    World titles – 4
The Frenchman enjoyed a titanic battle with Senna for F1 supremacy.
For what he lost out in natural ability compared to the Brazilian, he made up for it with ruthlessness and dedication.
A smooth driver in the same mould as Stewart and Clark.
    7. Niki Lauda
    World titles – 3
Tenacious competitor both on and off track.
A true hero after coming back from suffering horrific burns in 1976 following a crash at the Nurburgring only to make an astonishing comeback just six weeks later.

    6. Sir Jackie Stewart
    World titles – 3
Won his three world titles during a dangerous period in Formula One’s history.

A wonderfully measured driver who was also calm behind the wheel.

Celebs flock to Abu Dhabi F1 GP to watch Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen battle it out including Stormzy and Co

THE dramatic Formula One grand finale welcomed a string of star fans to Abu Dhabi including Hollywood and music royalty. As race rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen battle it out in a winner-takes-all decider, high-profile names were in attendance to watch on.

Rapper Stormzy, actress Eva Longoria, Olympic legend Usain Bolt and cricketer Chris Gayle were all pictured.
Even movie star Gerard Butler was in town to see if Britain’s Hamilton could overtake Michael Schumacher to a record eight F1 championships.
But Red Bull’s Verstappen struck a hammer blow by snatching pole position in the Abu Dhabi desert.
The Dutchman, 24, vowed to continue driving aggressively, says he makes the reigning champ ‘nervous’ and claims he is the better driver.
Verstappen said: “I make him nervous if he sees me in his mirrors. He’s a different driver to me, less aggressive.”
And when quizzed if Hamilton was afraid of him, Verstappen replied: “He will never admit that. At least I’m not afraid of him!
“He doesn’t know how to race like I do. I can’t blame him for that either, because he was never able to learn that like I did from my father.”

Hamilton got off to a flying start to leapfrog pole-sitter Verstappen into the first corner at the Yas Marina Circuit.
But Dutch rising star Verstappen launched an overtake on Hamilton later in the lap when the pair collided.
Hamilton was forced to cut the corner and seemingly gained an advantage.
Red Bull were adamant Hamilton had to move aside and let Verstappen pass.
But they were left fuming when stewards decided no further action was needed and Hamilton was allowed to streak clear.
Verstappen was instantly on his team radio and said: “He (Hamilton) has to give that place back.”
And there was a furious radio exchange between race control and Red Bull director Jonathan Wheatley.
Wheatley said: “Max is ahead at the apex and stays on the track. Lewis has left the track.”
But the FIA disagreed, saying: “All the advantage was already given back prior to the end of the first lap ending.”

Wheatley later added: “We still don’t understand it. That was a hard, aggressive pass by Max but he stayed on the track and was ahead at the apex.”
But his protests again fell on deaf ears, with the FIA saying: “The stewards have reviewed it and decided that Max forced him off the track.”
Verstappen was left fuming upon hearing the news that Hamilton would not be punished by stewards.
He said: “That is incredible. What are they doing there?”
Red Bull boss Christian Horner told Sky Sports: “We’re a little bit shocked at that. Apparently Lewis gave his advantage back which we’ve failed to see. As you can imagine, we’re not best pleased.”
Hamilton and Verstappen came into the final race of the season locked level on points after a thrilling year long title battle. More

F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Live stream FREE, UK start time, TV channel, full schedule for race TODAY

THERE simply is no bigger finish what is coming – Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are going to engage in an unmissable F1 season finale and you can watch it for FREE.The pair have been locked in a stunning tussle all 2021 season for the crown of world champion and have dragged back fans to the sport in the process.
ABU DHABI GP LIVE – LATEST UPDATES FROM YAS MARINA
Lewis Hamilton, right, and Max Verstappen, left, have given F1 fans heartstopping drama this seasonCredit: Rex
There was no love lost last weekend at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, where the pair were involved in ANOTHER collision, as the Dutchman was forced to let the Brit overtake him.
But they finished in first and second spot in Jeddah, meaning they are incredibly on exactly the same points total of 369.5 points.
There is even an unlikely scenario where Hamilton and Verstappen could finish the season on the same points total – and that would result in the Dutchman clinching world championship victory.
Hamilton is within touching distance of immortality, a victory for him this weekend would take him one world title ahead of Michael Schumacher’s magic mark of seven drivers’ championships.
Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit has undergone a series of changes in a bid to make the Formula One season finale even more exciting for drivers and fans.
A chicane has been removed, with a wider hairpin now forming turn seven, while four tight corners, 11 to 14, have also gone – replaced by one long, cambered turn.
Further alterations at the hotel section, turns 17 to 20, have been made to allow the cars to run closer together in an attempt to boost the number of overtaking opportunities on the circuit.
The changes mean it is harder to determine which car will be better-suited to the Yas Marina Circuit, with Verstappen winning here last year to end a run of six consecutive Mercedes victories in the United Arab Emirates.

F1 ace Lewis Hamilton shows off £80k EQS electric Mercedes which goes 0-60mph in 4.5 secs and has holographic lights

LEWIS HAMILTON has shown off his stunning electric motor – the Mercedes EQS.Formula 1 champ Hamilton talked up his decision to go green in a bid to protect the environment.
Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton poses next to his Mercedes EQS
The F1 champ says he is ‘working closely’ with Mercedes to move towards a more electric fleet
The EQS, which was announced last year, is part of the two-car garage the Merc racer is sticking to off the track.
Pairing the £80,000 saloon with a Smart car, Hamilton, 36, said he has offset the carbon footprint of his ENTIRE F1 career.
Yet the EQS still packs a punch, going from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds with 470bhp generated by a 350 kW electric motor.
Mercedes reckon a fully-charged EQS can even manage a range of 435 miles.
Naturally, it is also packed full of toys including holographic headlights, a rear ‘lightbelt’ of over 200 LEDs, and ambient dashboard lighting.
Posting a picture of himself beside the car, Hamilton wrote on Instagram: “Recently I’ve been making many changes in my life to reduce my impact on the environment.

“Since then, I have offset my carbon footprint from my Formula 1 career dating back to 2007, I have reduced travel where possible, I have gone plant-based and outside of the track, I try to use electric cars wherever possible.
“I also want to use my position as a racing driver to enforce positive and permanent change, which is why I’m working closely with Mercedes to slowly move their fleet of cars towards electric.
“This is my new dream car, the new EQS fully electric Mercedes.
“It’s difficult to always be perfect when we go about our daily lives, but I’m continuing to learn how to be better and I’m committed to staying educated and informed so I can play my part.
“Small steps lead to big change, so it’s important we all take a moment to understand our footprint and the small changes we can make in our everyday lives to put our planet first.
“The last step for me will be when I step away from this sport and can focus fully on helping heal the world to provide a better future for our kids and our kids’ kids.”

Inside Christian Horner’s luxury country mansion Red Bull F1 chief shares with Spice Girl Geri & three miniature donkeys

RED BULL chief Christian Horner is used to living life in the fast lane working in F1.But when it comes to his personal life, the team principal of the motorsport giants prefers a more quiet and slower existence away from the race track.

He shares TWO stunning country homes with wife, Spice Girl Geri in Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire and their brood.
The former property is, perhaps, the most lavish and most shared online – boasting its very own duck pond, which they use for boating.
Their farm also houses three miniature donkeys, horses and goats in the estate’s stables.
    ‘PERFECT’
For Horner, living on a farm offers the ideal existence away from the stresses of the F1 circuit.
Back in 2019, he told Luxury London that the sprawling country abode was the “perfect home to relax in.”
“Restoring the farm has been my hobby – the way I put racing out of my mind,” he added.
“The main house is finished but now the barns are being converted. We’re currently putting the finishing touches to an indoor swimming pool.”

Certainly, it’s the property in Oxfordshire that gets the most love from Geri on Instagram, who regularly shares candid snaps of her family life.
Horner is stepdad to Geri’s daughter Bluebell Madonna, 15, and the couple share a son, Montague, who is 4. He also has another daughter, Olivia, 8, from a previous relationship with ex-partner Beverley Allen.

Christian has been spied alongside his boy riding a mini tractor alongside dad’s John Deere.
He’s also been seen standing with his vintage Aston Martin DB5, which was Sean Connery’s car of choice as James Bond in Goldfinger.
    READY STEADY COOK
Geri appears happy to play the role of housewife, often sharing photos in the kitchen rustling up treats.
A budding chef, she has shown off her baking skills by crafting cakes using a customised Ginger Spice KitchenAid mixer, which Christian had specially designed for her.
And with four separate ovens to choose from with the AGA range the kitchen boasts, she has plenty of space for her other favourite pastime – making bread.
You can bet, Christian, who also loves using the outdoor barbecue, and the kids are well fed in the Horner household with Geri’s production line of cakes and bread.

    ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK
Christian and Geri have a number of reception room to entertain from.
However, the most popular one appears to be where a £16,000 original Wurlitzer can be found.
When she celebrated her 45th birthday, Geri posted a video online singing along to Michael Jackson hit Billie Jean while thanking Christian for the music, which suggested it was a gift for her.
Another living room shows off a stunning chandelier, as well as a marble fireplace.

And why not when you’ve got an incredible duck pond so big you can go boating on it.
Horner and Geri can even take their dogs for a walk around the expansive gardens.
The pair have even been seen zooming around on a quad bike, as well as picking raspberries in the garden with Montague.

Legendary Murray Walker would have loved Hamilton vs Verstappen drama… let’s just hope this epic is decided on the track

MURRAY WALKER, of course, would have loved all this. The Voice of Formula One would have been thrilled at his beloved sport gripping the nation like the good old days, as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen stage a winner-takes-all duel for the title in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

The F1 finale would have captivated Murray Walker even by the the much-loved F1 commentator’s excitable standardsCredit: Getty
Walker died in March, aged 97, but he left behind an encyclopaedia of memorable quotes.
Many of them were bloopers, born out of the extreme excitement of a much-loved enthusiast whose motormouth could not keep up with the 200mph action he was trying to make sense of.
One of these ‘Murrayisms’ has been brought to mind during this compelling but chaotic title race.
“Unless I’m very much mistaken … I AM very much mistaken.”
Because, while this great modern rivalry has enthralled us, it has also bewildered us.
Last Sunday’s Saudi Grand Prix may have been box-office — featuring yet another prang between the two title contenders — but it was settled by rules and regulations rather than two cars racing.
In Saudi, as in the opening race in Bahrain, Verstappen was punished for overtaking Hamilton while going outside the track limits.
As the bad blood reached boiling point at Silverstone in July, Hamilton was punished for a crash which ended his rival’s race, yet roared back to win anyway — a red rag to Red Bull.

Today we will sit down to watch the action from the Middle East, expecting to find out whether Hamilton or Verstappen is crowned world champion.
But will we even get an answer on the day?
Extraordinarily, after 21 races, the reigning champion in the Mercedes and the young Dutch tyro in the Red Bull, begin the final race tied on 369.5 points.
Yet if neither man finishes, Verstappen would prevail by virtue of having taken one more chequered flag than the Brit. So what if Verstappen takes the nuclear option and shunts Hamilton out — as many believe Michael Schumacher did to Damon Hill in their title decider in Australia in 1994?
Race director Michael Masi tells us he has power to deduct points from Verstappen — or any other driver — although he may not.
And both Hamilton and Verstappen claim they are unsure about the exact rules of combat.
So, what price a stewards’ inquiry and a lengthy legal battle?
Let’s hope not. Let’s hope for an actual car race. Perhaps even Hamilton and Verstappen overtaking one another legitimately.
When the F1 season began in March, there was little fanfare.
Even if Hamilton fails, he will gain more respect from defeat than in many victories.
Britain may have boasted a record-equalling seven-time world champion in Sir Lewis the knight rider — but too many grands prix, and too many title races, had felt like processions.
Hamilton won the previous four titles.
But F1 needed a young challenger such as Verstappen, no respecter of reputation, determined to disrupt.
Verstappen, 24, was labelled ‘a f***ing crazy guy’ by Hamilton last Sunday — but he has been a godsend for his sport.
Formula One was becoming a niche sport as for too long, it had lacked the scenario laid out today.
Hamilton’s early jousts for the world title — when he lost out to Kimi Raikkonen in 2007 and when he pipped Felipe Massa on the final lap a year later — are in the dim and distant past.
Now, though, the 36-year-old can surpass Schumacher to become motor racing’s undisputed GOAT with an eighth world title.
And even if Hamilton fails, he will have gained more respect from defeat than in many of his previous victories. Either way, let us hope it is settled on the track.
Let us hope we can all watch a damned good race, that the best driver wins, and that our eyes — unlike dear old Murray’s — do not deceive us. More

Max Verstappen says Lewis Hamilton is SCARED of him as he taunts title rival before winner-takes-all Abu Dhabi showdown

COCKY Max Verstappen taunted bitter F1 title rival Lewis Hamilton by saying: He’s afraid of me.Red Bull’s Verstappen struck a hammer blow by snatching pole position for Sunday’s world championship decider in the Abu Dhabi desert.

The Dutchman, 24, vowed to continue driving aggressively, says he makes the seven-time world champ “nervous” and claims he is the better driver.

Verstappen’s dad Jos is a former F1 driver, who made 106 Grand Prix starts between 1994 and 2003, while Hamilton’s dad Anthony took on multiple jobs to pay for his son’s karting career.
The two warring drivers are level on points and will both be on the front row of the Yas Marina Circuit grid today.
But while Verstappen’s car is on soft tyres, Hamilton’s Mercedes will wear medium rubber.
Hamilton, 36, who was booed by Dutch fans in parc ferme, hailed Verstappen’s qualifying performance, saying: “It was a fantastic lap from him.”

Red Bull chief Christian Horner branded the pole-clinching lap “absolutely insane” and added: “That was one of Max’s best laps of the year.”
While Verstappen said: “It is an amazing feeling. I’m incredibly happy.”
The last six races in Abu Dhabi have all been won from pole position.
Merc boss Toto Wolff admitted: “It’s 1-0 to them today. But I’d much rather be starting on the medium tyres.”
The drivers’ bitter feud has led to the FIA warning they will be docked points for unsporting behaviour following three crashes between them this season — at Silverstone, Monza and in Saudi Arabia.
Verstappen claims Hamilton drove into him “on purpose” at the British Grand Prix in a high-speed shunt which put the Dutchman in hospital.

Hamilton suffered a sore neck at Monza after Verstappen launched his Red Bull on TOP of his Merc. And Verstappen was punished by stewards in Saudi Arabia after Hamilton crashed into him.
Verstappen will be crowned champion if neither driver scores points on Sunday as he has won nine GPs to Hamilton’s eight.
But Hamilton laughed off fears of a first corner collision as he starts second on the grid, adding: “I am grateful I can see where he is!”
