Lewis Hamilton jets into London after F1 star is swarmed by fans on visit to Malaysia following Australian GP

LEWIS HAMILTON has returned to London after a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia.

The seven-time Formula 1 world champion stopped off in Kuala Lumpur on his way back from Melbourne, having competed in the Australian Grand Prix last weekend.

While there, Sir Lewis checked out the amazing view from the Petronas Towers.

Despite their high-profile sponsorship of Mercedes, Hamilton had never visited Petronas HQ before, but thoroughly enjoyed his visit.

The 37-year-old shared a number of pictures of the stunning view from the top floor, while urging his followers to check it out.

Hamilton arrived back in London at around 6am this morning, and will now be focused on delivering a good result at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix next week.

He has had a difficult start to the season, following up a third-place finish in Bahrain with tenth spot in Saudi Arabia and a fourth-place showing in Melbourne.

Mercedes have struggled with porpoising in their new W13 car, with plans to make changes that can fix the issue by the next GP in Imola.

Speaking about the Silver Arrows’ woes, team principal Toto Wolff said: “I don’t sleep, and that is not because of jet lag.

“I am not sleeping because I am beating myself up on how to get on top of these things. It is a miserable state of mind.

“But you cannot be miserable. I have to look for solutions and I am trying to improve myself in order to extract more performance — and it’s the same for Lewis.”
