ASTON VILLA captain Jack Grealish has fired back at Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness’ criticism of him.
Before Villa’s 2-0 defeat to Souness’ former club Liverpool at the weekend, the 67-year-old admitted to “not being convinced” of Grealish’s talents.

Grealish has been linked with a mega-money move to Manchester United this summer.
And with Villa facing the possibility of relegation to the Championship, they could well lose their prized asset.
Souness was responding to Grealish being the Premier League’s most fouled player, saying that the Villa star “takes too many touches”
He said: “When I was playing I would not want to have been the most fouled player in the Premier League.
“That means I’m holding on to the ball too long. That means I’m not seeing the picture early enough, taking too many touches when I don’t need to.
“There’s no doubt about it he has ability, easy on the eye, silky. But I’m yet to be convinced by him.”

Following the comments Grealish retweeted some stats that showed him as creating the second-highest number of chances this season.
Only Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne beats Grealish’s 80 with 101.
The Villa man posted on Twitter: “Can’t please everyone”.
Many football fans seemed to disagree with Souness’ assessment.
Chris Jennings tweeted: “Ignore him. His way of playing went out years ago.”
Freddie Farrell labelled Souness a “bitter old man”.
Many wrote that they believed Souness was criticising Grealish because “he is going to United” and he “hates everything about them”.
