ARSENAL have completed the signing of talented defender Reuell Walters from Manchester United.
The right-back, 15, only joined the Red Devils last year following a successful trial, but he is already on the move back to North London.
Right-back Reuell Walters has joined Arsenal from Manchester United
Walters was previously on the books at Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham, meaning he is the second former Spurs youngster to link up with the club in 2020.
Centre-back Jonathan Dinzeyi joined the Gunners in the summer after being released by Jose Mourinho’s side.
Teenage star Walters took to social media where he spoke of his delight at joining the FA Cup holders.
He tweeted: “New chapter. New beginning.
“Thanks to God and everyone who has played a part in my journey so far, especially my mum, dad, sister, family, and friends.
“Also a very special thank you to everyone at Arsenal for believing in me. Excited to get started!”
According to the Manchester Evening News, Walters will become part of Arsenal’s U16 squad for this season.
And he doesn’t look to be the only player that could be brought in by Arsenal in the near future.
It is believed that Red Bull Salzburg playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai is a possible January target.
The Hungary international boasts just a £22.5million release clause in his contract, leading to speculation he will be departing in the New Year.
And it is Arsenal that are leading the race to secure his services with Spurs, Manchester City and Real Madrid all understood to be keen on signing him.
