Lewis Hamilton wears ‘Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor’ T-Shirt before Tuscan Grand Prix

LEWIS HAMILTON has protested against the killing of Breonna Taylor with a T-shirt demanding the accused police officers are held accountable.
Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, the six-time world champ wore a shirt with the words: “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.”

Taylor, 26, was shot dead when officers stormed her apartment in Kentucky on a search warrant for drugs in March.
Three officers were involved in the raid, including Detective Brett Hankison, who was fired while the other two were put on leave.
But there have been no convictions while her family have continued calling for justice.
And Hamilton has echoed those comments with the powerful statement as he took to Instagram to show off the message.

He also wore the T-shirt as he took a knee before the race.
Hamilton has been a leading voice during the Black Lives Matter movement in recent months.
That included calling on broadcasters to help support F1’s anti-racism message.
He also attended a BLM movement in London as protests were sparked around the globe following the murder of George Floyd.

Last month Jacob Blake, a black man, was shot seven times in the back by Police in horrifying footage and has been left paralysed from the waist down.
Following the shooting, Hamilton said: “I will try to speak to Formula 1 to see what else we can do to continue to raise awareness.
“Naturally as a sport, I think we all need to be aligned, supportive of each other, even though it’s a different sport.

Huge Tuscan GP crash makes raging F1 star Grosjean fume ‘they want to kill us or what?’ in chaotic race

A HUGE crash at the start of the Tuscan Grand Prix left Romain Grosjean asking: “They want to kill us or what?”
Nicholas Latifi, Kevin Magnussen, Antonio Giovinazzi and Carlos Sainz were involved in the petrifying pile-up.

A red flag was raised after the crash at the Tuscan Grand Prix

The race lasted just two corners before being placed under a safety car.
A collision eliminated Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly and Valtteri Bottas managed to take the lead.
Bottas decided to slow the race down and began to weave down the straight.
The cars towards the back accelerated while the drivers at the front kept at a slow pace – which caused a huge pile-up.

Latifi smashed into Sainz before all four cars were out of action.
After the incident, Haas driver Romain Grosjean described the incident as the worst thing he had ever seen.
Speaking over the radio after the incident, Grosjean said: “That was f****** stupid from whoever was at the front.
“They want to kill us or what?

“This is the worst thing I have seen ever.”
All four of the drivers managed to get out of their cars and the F1 said they are “seemingly ok”.
Sainz said: “By the time I saw everything it was too late – it was a big crash. The main thing is that we are all ok.”
Lance Stroll then crashed on turn 9 after a rear left puncture caused him to come off the track.
He was the eighth driver to retire from the race – but he appeared to be ok as he climbed out of the car.

Watch Mick Schumacher drives his dad’s iconic Ferrari to mark famous Italian brand’s 1000th F1 race

MICK SCHUMACHER drove his dad’s 2004 Ferrari before the legendary Italian manufacturer’s 1,000th Formula One race.
Michael’s son paraded around the track before the start of Sunday’s Tuscan Grand Prix.

The 21-year-old was in the cockpit of the F2004 – the car his dad drove to his seventh and final world championship 16 years ago.
The demonstration run around the track is part of the festivities put on to mark the Italian brand’s milestone.
And Ferrari described it as ‘a fitting tribute to the Scuderia’s most successful car and its incomparable driver’.
Michael, 51, suffered a severe brain injury in a horrific skiing accident in 2014.

Wife Corinna, Mick and Schumacher’s daughter Gina-Marie care for him in Switzerland.
The F1 legend is still ‘fighting’ to recover according to best pal Jean Todt – one of a handful of visitors allowed to see the racing great.
Mick won his first feature race at Monza in Formula 2 last week and is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
It is not the first time he has taken his dad’s retro model for a spin after throwing it around Hockenheim before the German Grand Prix last year.

Mick said: “This was always a dream for me to drive this car.
“I drove the car at Hockenheim last year but to drive it at Mugello in non-rainy conditions has been an absolute honour.
“Obviously knowing that a lot of kilometres have been done here with this car as well, and to be able to drive it and the second generation to drive it is something very special.
“I chose this livery because I wanted really to have everything I could for it to be as it was back then.
“The feeling, the way it was driving and handling was very impressive. I’m sure some miles off what it was doing back then but it’s incredible.
“Thank you to Ferrari for this opportunity. ”

Other special arrangements for Ferrari hitting four figures include a one-off burgundy colour scheme on their SF1000 cars.
Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc will race in the colour shade in a nod to the manufacturer’s origins.
The unique livery was first seen on the first racing car ever to carry the iconic Ferrari name.

Hamilton, 35, endured a nightmare race last weekend, finishing seventh as Pierre Gasly surprisingly secured a shock victory.
But the Frenchman crashed back down to earth with a bump in Tuscany, failing to get out of Q1.
Former champion Sebastian Vettel did make it out of Q1… just – but will start tomorrow’s race in 14th as his disastrous final season at Ferrari looks set to continue in disappointing fashion.
Meanwhile there was less good news for Hamilton’s compatriot Lando Norris, as he failed to reach Q3 for the first time this season in the McLaren.

As for the six-time champion himself, Hamilton will be looking to get back to winning ways after edging out Bottas in second and Red Bull star Max Verstappen in third.
He said: “It’s been a really tough weekend, this track is phenomenal.
“It’s a really, really challenging circuit.
“Valtteri was quicker than me all day yesterday and even this morning.
