The Iceman called it a day on his career at the end of last season after driving for Alfa Romeo
But, rest assured, he has the choice of some amazing homes to retire in.
First, there is his $24million James Bond villain-like Swiss villa.
Then there’s his reported three homes in his homeland of Finland, as well properties in Dubai and Thailand.

But it’s his mansion near Zurich that Kimi spends the majority of time with his stunning wife, Minttu, and children Robin and Rianna.
    BEST BAAR NONE
Kimi bought the dream house for a mega $20.5million in 2009.
Named Butterfly – although it’s unclear why – it can be found in Baar, a small village near Zurich.

Kimi explained: “We searched for about five years for a property where we could build our own house.
“Then we found Villa Butterfly which was ready for move-in and had a name too.”

There are two pools, one indoor, one outdoor, for the Raikkonens to enjoy.
Lush gardens overlook an incredible backdrop of the Zug lake with the Alps right behind it.
Astonishingly, the building also has a lift and the windows are bulletproof glass.
And there’s a fully-equipped gym to help Kimi stay in shape.
    MASSIVE GARAGE
As is a theme with racing car drivers, they like to take their work home with them.
Raikkonen is no different, which explains why his massive garage at Villa Butterfly can hold up to 10 cars.
Although he is said to own a $360,000 Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge and a $3.6million Ferrari Enzo, it’s motorcycles that hold the Finnish legend’s attention.

Lewis Hamilton considering extending F1 career beyond next season as Mercedes star says ‘I’m still on a mission’ at 37

LEWIS HAMILTON has revealed he is considering extending his F1 career beyond next season. The Mercedes star has a contract until the end of 2023 but has vowed that he is “still on a mission”.
Lewis Hamilton is regarded as one of the best drivers of all time but is now among the oldest on the gridCredit: Splash
Hamilton has faced two of the most topsy-turvy seasons of his career in recent times.
Last year he locked horns with Max Verstappen in an extraordinarily intense title battle that saw crashes, controversy and drama on the very last lap of the last race of the season.
And this season he has found himself in an uncompetitive Mercedes car which has tested the 37-year-old in all new ways.
But the seven-times world champion has made clear that he’s still up for the fight and could well keep driving beyond 2023.

Hamilton told Vanity Fair: “I’ll be lying if I said that I hadn’t thought about extending.
“I’m still on the mission, I’m still loving driving, I’m still being challenged by it.
“So I don’t really feel like I have to give it up any time soon.
“I’m built different. I mean, I was built for this. It reminds me that people still don’t know me.

“Even after all these years. People still don’t know. So, all right, I’ll prove you wrong again.”
Hamilton also reflected on the heartbreak of last year, when Max Verstappen overtook him on the final lap at Abu Dhabi to take the World Championship.
The moment was mired in controversy after the now departed race director Michael Masi was found to have not followed race procedure correctly, leading to the final lap shoot-out.
Hamilton said: “I don’t know if I can really put into words the feeling that I had. I do remember just sitting there just in disbelief.
“And realising I’ve got to undo my belts, I’ve got to get out of there, I’ve got to climb out of this thing, I’ve got to find the strength. I had no strength.
“And it was one of the toughest moments, I would say, that I’ve had in a long, long time.”

After a difficult start to the season, the Mercedes car has gone from strength to strength and Hamilton has finished on the podium in the last five races.
He is now enjoying some well-earned time off during the F1 season break – and keeping himself busy in interesting ways.
Not long after being pictured riding an electric jet surfboard, the star arrived in Africa to trace his roots. More

Inside Michael Schumacher’s ‘secret treatment’ to ‘rebuild’ F1 champion as he receives ‘£115,000-a-week’ medical care

MICHAEL Schumacher’s health is still a mystery – but he’s reported to have undergone “secret” pioneering medical treatment, with hopes it could rebuild the legendary F1 ace.Schumacher is reported to have received medical care costing as much as £115,000-a-week as his family, friends and pals all hope he can recover from his horror ski crash.

Schumacher’s health has been shrouded in secrecy since he suffered a catastrophic brain injury while skiing in 2013.
But it has been reported the Formula One champion has had a team of 15 nurses and doctors offering around-the-clock care for him.
The 53-year-old was placed in a medically induced coma for almost six months after the accident while he was on the slopes with his son Mick.
It was reported after the ski crash he had surgery to remove blood clots from his brain.

But in June 2014, he was discharged from hospital so he could receive treatment at his family home near Switzerland’s Lake Geneva.
His family have reportedly been forced to sell off Schumacher’s beloved private jet and holiday home in Norway – worth an estimated £25m – in a bid to cover his medical costs.
And only small trickles of information have been released since, with reports that Schumacher remains in a wheelchair and can react to things around him.
However, in 2019, it was reported that Schumacher was set to undergo breakthrough stem cell therapy in a bid to regenerate and rebuild his nervous system.
    Most read in Motorsport
Renowned French cardiologist Dr Philippe Menasche, who had operated on him previously, was due to carry out the treatment to transfer cells from Schumacher’s heart to his brain.
In stem cell therapy, cells are taken from either bone marrow or the patient’s own heart and injected into other parts of the body in order to repair damaged tissue.
Italian neurosurgeon Dr Nicola Acciari said at the time that the legendary driver was suffering from muscle degeneration and osteoporosis as a result of being bed-bound for so many years.
She said: “The goal is to regenerate Michael’s nervous system.”
French journalist Jean-Michel Décugis told The Times that the stem cell therapy will have an “anti-inflammatory effect” which will most likely impact the brain.
He said: “Our sources say that Michael Schumacher is receiving stem cell perfusions that… produce a systemic anti-inflammatory effect.
“That is to say they reach the whole body and you could imagine that they reach Michael Schumacher’s brain.
“It’s quite mysterious. Officially [Menasché] works only on the heart.
“He is carrying out experiments with [secretome] that is made by a laboratory from new stem cells and injected into veins, until now only on animals.”
    NO MIRACLES
Mr Décugis also claims that Schumacher is being injected with secretome – protein found in the human body – which he says Menasche calls “stem cell juice.”
Dr Menasche however warned fans that he “does not work miracles” following the first widely-reported stem cell therapy on the sports star in October 2018.
He also slammed claims he was carrying out “experiments” on the legendary racing driver.
And in September 2019, he said details of Schumacher’s treatment would remain “secret” for reasons of medical confidentiality.
Following the treatment at the Georges Pompidou Hospital in Paris, France, he was said to be “conscious”, although few other details were given about his condition.
And years since he is claimed to have undergone the treatment, there has been no concrete updates – amid reports that the Schumacher family are seeking to spend the winter months at a new property in Majorca.
In 2020, his former boss and close friend Jean Todt revealed Schuey was receiving treatment tailored to help him “return to a more normal life”.
Todt, who oversaw five of Schumacher’s seven titles as Ferrari team boss, is one of just a handful of visitors allowed to see him at home.
“I am very discreet on this subject,” he told Ouest France. “We all know that Michael had a very serious accident and, unfortunately, it had significant consequences for him.
“Since then, he has been treated so that he can be able to return to a more normal life.”

Last month, Schuey’s wife Corinna broke down in tears – and she has previously admitted the F1 hero “is different now”.
As she accepted the State Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia on her stricken husband’s behalf, she became emotional as she commented on her husband’s condition.
And speaking on the Netflix documentary Schumacher, she said: “I miss Michael every day.
“But it’s not just me who misses him, it’s the children, his father, everyone around him.”
Although she admitted he was “different,” she insisted that “he’s here and that gives us strength”.
Corinna also offered a brief glimpse as their life at home.
She said: “We’re together. We live together at home. We do therapy.
“We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable. And to simply make him feel our family, our bond.”
Former boss Ross Brawn told The Guardian in 2016 he still visits his friend regularly.
“Michael was such a strong character and all through his racing career he only suffered a broken leg,” he said. “The irony of this happening during a quieter life was terrible.”
He went on: “We go see him and hope and pray that one day he will make a recovery. I was quoted as saying he’s improving and it was not what I really meant. The family are conducting his convalescence in private and I need to respect that.
“So I don’t want to comment on his condition beyond saying we’re extremely hopeful we’ll see Michael as we knew him at some point in the future.”
Speaking just before his 50th birthday, she reassured his supporters that he was in “good hands” and that the family were doing “everything humanly possible to help him”.
Todt also told Radio Monte-Carlo in 2019 that he had watched F1 races with the legendary driver on TV.
“I’m always careful with such statements, but it’s true. I saw the race together with Michael Schumacher at his home in Switzerland.”
He suffered a catastrophic brain injury in a skiing accident in 2013Credit: AFP
Meanwhile, sources – described as “close relatives” – claimed in French magazine Paris Match back in 2018 that Schumacher cries when he sees natural beauty.
They said: “When you put him in his wheelchair facing the beautiful panorama of the mountains overlooking the lake, Michael sometimes cries.”
Michael is one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time, dominating the sport in the early 2000s after rising to power in the 90s.
He raced from 1991 to 2006, and again from 2010 to 2012 – a second act of his career which saw him become instrumental in setting up Lewis Hamilton’s dominant Mercedes team.
The German won five world championships with Ferrari and two for Benetton.
Schumacher retired in 2012, but just a year later he was involved in a life-changing skiing accident while on the slopes with Mick.
And meanwhile, Schumacher’s former manager Willi Weber accused the star’s family of lying about his condition.
The 80-year-old said he is still “angry” that the brood hasn’t updated him on the F1 icon’s health since his skiing accident nine years ago.

He took swipes at both Corinna and Jean Todt, saying: “They kept me out, telling me it’s too early, well now it’s too late.”
Weber initially understood the need for secrecy from the Schumacher family but that since he got out of hospital, “we have only heard lies from them”. More

How it’s feared Michael Schumacher will NEVER fully recover from ski crash as doc says ‘he won’t be like he was before’

MICHAEL Schumacher has not been seen or heard from for nearly nine years – and there are fears he could never fully recover from his horror ski crash.Mystery continues to loom over the 53-year-old racing legend’s health as his family keep a tight control of what information is released to fans.

Some fear Schumacher may never be the same again after his horrendous accident in December 2013 while skiing with his son Mick in the Alps.
He fell and hit his head – suffering a brain injury which left him a medically induced coma for six months.
And since being released home, there has been few concrete updates beyond his wife Corinna admitting he is “different”.
Many of his friends have said they hope he gets better and fans constantly urge the former Ferrari and Mercedes driver to “keep fighting”.
    READ MORE ON SCHUMACHER
Brain surgeon Erich Riederer believes the seven-time world champion may never fully recover from the accident, saying he was likely left in a “vegetative state”.
Speaking September 2020, the doctor – who is not directly connected with Schuey – gave his opinion on French television station TMC.
“I think he’s in a vegetative state, which means he’s awake but not responding,” he said.
“He is breathing, his heart is beating, he can probably sit up and take baby steps with help, but no more.
    Most read in Motorsport
‘I think that’s the maximum for him. Is there any chance of seeing him like he was before his accident?
    “I really don’t think so.”
Meanwhile in September 2017, former F1 driver Philippe Streiff also warned that Schuey may never be the same again.
Streiff – who was left quadriplegic after a crash in preseason testing in 1989 – said it would be “difficult” for Schumacher.
“After a neurological accident, you always have hopes. But after more than three years, it’s probably more difficult,” he told The Daily Star.
“[I think] 100% recovering probably not, but anyways I hope he’ll return to the public eye for his fans.”
Schumacher’s management have previously hit back at Streiff and outright denied he knows anything about Michael’s condition.
    KEEP FIGHTING
But the former AGS driver insisted he was merely giving the “opinion” of someone who had also suffered a life-changing injury.
And one of Michael’s closest confidantes, ex-Ferrari boss Jean Todt, described the ace as living with the “consequences” of his accident in 2021.
Todt is understood to be one of the few people who regularly visits Schumacher.
But unlike some doubters, he has never given up hope that Michael could one day recover and see his fans.
Todt just last month spoke of how he still loves to watch Grand Prixs with Michael at his home.
The champ’s son Mick is now racing in the sport with the Haas team, with the 23-year-old never commenting on his dad’s health, but saying he would “give up everything” to chat to him about F1.
Todt and Schumacher have been pals for years, with the 76-year-old Frenchman being a key part of the Ferrari team that saw the German win five world titles from 2000 to 2004.

And he was reported to have been a regular visitor at the Ferrari and Mercedes racer’s bedside after his ski crash, with F1 champ Niki Lauda describing the pair as having a “deep and respectful friendship”.
“I don’t miss Michael, I see him. Yes, it’s true, I watch races with Michael,” Todt told German TV channel RTL.
“But sure, I guess what I miss is what we used to do together.”
The ex-FIA president previously told how he “hopes the world” will be able to see his dear friend again.
Schumacher’s close F1 pal Felipe Massa gave a brief insight into his friend’s condition in 2020.
He said: “I know how he is, I have information. The main thing about all this is that we know his situation is not easy.
“He is in a difficult phase but we need to respect him and the family.”
Cryptic comments by Schumacher’s former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo in February 2016 sparked further speculation about the racer’s condition.
He told reporters: “I have news and unfortunately it is not good. Life is strange.”
And in one promising comment, controversial F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone hinted that Michael could once again return to the public eye.
He said: “He is not with us at the moment. But when he gets better, he’ll answer all the questions.”

Sebastian Vettel offered Formula E chance after announcing F1 retirement with German pushing for environmental change

SEBASTIAN VETTEL has been offered a chance to return to motorsport, with Formula One’s sister sport Formula E.Vettel announced his retirement from F1 last month after 15 years in the sport.
Sebastian Vettel could race in Formula E next yearCredit: Splash
But the four-time world champion could make a stunning return to racing in Formula E after being told he is more than welcome to join by former driver Lucas di Grassi.
Grassi told the Independent: “I would love it! We raced together many times, me and Vettel. In Formula 3 we did two years together.”
Environmental causes are something close to Vettel’s heart, and he has been a regular campaigner for change within F1 to make the sport go green.
“It would be amazing to have him race here. I think a lot of sustainability talk in Formula One are not really making any difference,” Grassi added.

“Like saying don’t use fossil fuels, and being sponsored by Aramco, does not really say much.
“So people like Vettel, he has become in the last few years much more conscious about the state of the world and what he can do to make it better, using his platform as a sportsman to try to make the world a better place.
“I think it’s very noble of him, he could just do his racing, stop, buy a boat and stay somewhere. It would be a pleasure to have him racing with us.”
Last year Vettel gave a stark warning about the future of F1, saying the sport could die out if it keeps making environmental mistakes.

F1 has taken steps to improve its green footprint in recent years, with measures to increase sustainability and create more efficient engines.
Vettel said: “We live in a time where we have innovations and possibilities to arguably make Formula One green as well, and not lose any of the spectacle, of the excitement, of the speed, of the challenge, of the passion.
“If anything, we have so many clever people and engineering power here, we could come up with solutions.
“I think there are certain things that people are talking about for the future of the sport in terms of regulations, that could shift the change and shift into more relevant changes.
“And I feel if they come, that’s a good thing for Formula One, and it’s also a vital thing.
