Faryal tore strips off him after reading The Sun on Sundayâs story two weeks ago of how he begged a model for cheeky pictures and asked her to meet him.
Now Amir, 36 â whose marriage has been dogged by cheating storms â has revealed he would be willing to see a specialist, admitting he has âmade mistakesâ and âhurtâ his wife.
Asked if he would attend therapy sessions if Faryal wanted him to, he said: âThat question hasnât been brought up before.
âBut maybe I do need help to stop me from messaging other women.

âI am willing to go to Âtherapy to stop me sending texts to women who arenât my wife.
âI think nowadays with mental health issues, any help goes a long way. Itâs definitely something I would do. Things like that do help, so maybe itâs something to think about.â
Faryal confronted him at their home in Dubai earlier this month when she saw our story about Amir begging bridal model Sumaira, 25, for racy pictures and trying to meet up with her.
He approached her online in May in the run-up to his and Faryalâs 10th wedding anniversary, initially complimenting her on her tattoos.

But his messages quickly turned saucy. In one, Amir told Sumaira: âU look good on g stringâ and suggested she had a boob job.
Sumaira sent him one snap in clothes showing off her rose-tattooed midriff, to which Amir replied: âCanât stop looking.â
In another, he promised to delete any cheeky pictures.
He asked: âThink I wanna get caught out?â
Furious Faryal, 31, who shares three children with Amir, hit out at her man over the exchange.
Amir, who starred in Iâm A Celebrityâ.â.â.â in 2017 and in the all-star version in South Africa in May, said: âShe was disgusted. Itâs not a nice thing to do.
âShe was very angry because I shouldnât be speaking to people like that.
âShe said, âIf you have a diamond at home, why do you want to mess around with rocks and stones?â
âItâs not nice what Iâve done. One day my kids will grow up and read this stuff, and it will upset them.
âI donât think I was cheating, it was just a few texts. But I regret doing it.
âI can only apologise to Faryal. People have been messaging her about it, saying, âDid you see this article?â â rubbing it in her face. Itâs sad.â
Amir whisked model Faryal off for a romantic kid-free holiday to Mykonos last week, travelling there by private jet.
Speaking from the Greek island, he said: âThe stupidest thing I did was to comment on this womanâs picture saying âniceâ.
âI shouldnât have done it. I have respect for my wife.
âI think I do these things out of boredom â I donât think itâs that I canât help myself.
âYou get bored and start making mistakes.
âIf Iâm not careful, I will get myself into trouble â especially with the wife. She will end up saying, âIâve had enoughâ.â
Amir, who won 34 of his 40 career fights, went on: âIâm used to focusing on boxing all the time but now thatâs finished, maybe I need to start getting into something again.
âI want to get back into training and I have been asked to do a few exhibitions. Thereâs also a few TV shows I want to do.â
After our story, Amir said Sumaira begged him for ÂŁ20,000, telling him she was going through a rough patch.

Amir was exposed after he sent a string of raunchy messages to Sumaira
Sumaira then accused him of lying in a TikTok video and threatened to reveal more of their messages.
Faryal lashed out at Sumaira online, saying: âEven when I was single I never gave a guy my number. Let alone a married one. Simple.â
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Sumaira claimed Amir told her in a phone call that he and Faryal âwere not properly togetherâ and âthat it was a bit of a business arrangementâ.
Bolton-born Amir, who now splits his time between the UK and Dubai, hit back, saying: âWomen message you because they know they can get something from you.
âMy missus is my queen and I donât want to hurt her. Our marriage is great at the moment.â
Amir, who fought in four weight categories during his time as a professional, retired from boxing in May last year â three months after he lost to Sheffield fighter Kell Brook, 37, in a bout at Manchesterâs AO Arena.
In April this year, he was banned from sport for two years, backdated a year, after performance-enhancing drug ostarine was found to have been in his system on the night of the fight.
A tribunal accepted Amirâs argument that the violation was not intentional.
Amir and Faryal starred in BBC series Meet the Khans: Big in Bolton, which finished its third season earlier this year.
The pair were introduced at a New York restaurant by mutual friends in 2011, and wed two years later in a ÂŁ1million bash at the cityâs Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
In another ceremony in the UK, ex-Man Utd footballers Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand were among the 4,000 guests.
