      “Until he wakes up fully, we won’t know Tom’s long term outlook, only that it’ll be a very long road ahead for him.

      Fury, who is champing at the bit to get back in the ring, has recently flirted with fights with Aussie sluggers Dempsey McKean and Jai Opetaia.
      But Hearn has suggested the Wythenshawe warrior locks horns with the mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title – Filip Hrgovic.
      The 43-year-old told Boxing Social: “Say you’re playing matchmaker for Tyson Fury, and you look at the rankings.
      “Imagine AJ fights Dillian Whyte then Wilder and [Oleksandr] Usyk fights [Daniel] Dubois. I’ll tell you if he wants, he can fight Filip Hrgovic.

      “If he’s looking for an opponent, he can have the Filip Hrgovic fight.”
      Hrgovic, 30, solidified his status as the No.1-ranked IBF heavyweight with a controversial win over Zhilei Zhang last August.
      The Croatian clubber has knocked out all but three of his 15 professional opponents, a stat Hearn believes will convince WBC king Fury to swerve the potential bout.

      TYSON FURY launched an X-rated assault to being snubbed by Anthony Joshua’s camp for his next fight.The reigning WBC heavyweight champ was reacting to promoter Frank Warren saying AJ had rejected the chance to fight Fury in August.

      Warren told talkSPORT that AJ’s team did not want to fight Fury ahead of a scheduled clash with Deontay Wilder in December, despite having a provisional date in August available.
      Fury posted quotes from Warren’s interview to his Instagram story and labelled AJ a “proper p***y boy” before taking out his frustration on Oleksandr Usyk.
      He said: “Usyk is a p***y so is AJ.”
      The jibe comes after months of speculation that Fury would fight either AJ or Usyk.

      Boxing fans’ hopes were raised when Fury claimed his team had sent a draft contract to AJ’s camp for a September bout.
      AJ’s team swiftly responded by denying they had been sent a contract.
      It is understood that AJ’s camp are focused on preparing for a lucrative fight against Wilder in December which would take place in Saudi Arabia or Dubai.
      During an appearance on talkSPORT, Queensberry Promotions chief Warren said: “Let me clarify what has actually happened.

      Warren was frustrated by the fact Eddie Hearn had earmarked August 12 for Joshua’s second outing of the year, provisionally reserving the O2 Arena.
      He said: “There is a space open in August, but they basically do not want to do the fight.”
      Fury has not fought since his bout at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December against Derek Chisora.
      Fury’s criticism of Usyk comes after a proposed fight to unify all four belts in April fell through.

      The boxer was initially set to serve a home detention for his involvement in a 2020 hit and run.
      In February this year, Davis pleaded guilty to four offences relating to the incident three years ago, in which he smashed into a car carrying four people – including a pregnant woman.
      He admitted to running a red light, driving with a revoked license, leaving an accident involving bodily injury and failing to notify of property damage.

      DAZN slammed over ‘horrific’ Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia coverage
       Boxing fans were left upset after DAZN’s coverage of the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia fight did not meet expectations.
      The megafight between Davis and Garcia was a highly anticipated fight, but many missed it after the DAZN PPV stream broke and charged some customers up to six times for the event.
      DAZN offered the fight to subscribers at a lower price of $60 compared to the Showtime/PPV price tag of $84.99.
      But boxing supporters suffered delays to their streams and accessing the broadcast.
      That forced DAZN to take to Twitter and issued a statement. 
      They said: “We are aware that some customers are experiencing small 
      delays in accessing the PPV broadcast after buying it.
      “Rest assured, content will be available to you within a few minutes of your purchase. We appreciate your patience.”

      Gervonta Davis has been sent to jail after allegedly breaching the terms of his 90-day house arrest, according to reports.
      The boxer was initially set to serve a home detention for his involvement in a 2020 hit and run.

      Gervonta Davis is an undefeated American boxer from Baltimore, MD. Nicknamed ‘Tank’.
      Davies was a protege of Floyd Mayweather and made his debut in February 2013 at the age of just 18.

      Gervonta Davis is a tiny tearaway who is big trouble inside and outside the ring.
      He is rapidly turning into a mini-monster who seems hell-bent on taking over Mike Tyson’s role as boxing’s “Baddest Man on the Planet.”
      Davis is a ferocious punching pocket-battleship who fires explosive missiles with both hands.
      It was obvious he was an exceptional talent to those fortunate to see him destroy Liam Walsh in less than three rounds when he defended his world super-featherweight crown at East London’s Copper Box, six years ago.
      Since then, Davis has been arrested on numerous occasions for several offences including aggravated assault.

      What has Gervonta Davis said after his recent boxing victory?
      Gervonta Davis was over the moon following his seventh-round TKO victory over Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas.
      He said: “The job isn’t done until I retire. I’m gonna continue to keep my head down and work.
      He said of the brutal body shot which stopped the fight: “It was a good shot.
      “I thought he was going to get up. I like to play mind games.
      “When he was looking at me I was looking at him like ‘get up’ but he shook his head and said no.”

      All three left the scene before officers could assist.

      Davis, 28, defeated Ryan Garcia in front of a packed Las Vegas crowd last month.
      The win saw him retain his WBA lightweight title, while moving to 29-0 as a pro.
      Davis’ seventh-round KO of Garcia led to speculation that he could be the new face of boxing.
      Davis had been arrested last December
      In a separate incident, Broward County Police arrested Davis last December after he allegedly hit a woman using a “closed hand type slap.”
      The woman suffered a small cut on the inside of her mouth from the alleged contact, according to the incident report.

      In addition to being sentenced to serve an initial 90-day house arrest, Davis was also slapped with 200 hours of community service and a three-year probation.

      Until Lawrence Okolie and Chris Billam-Smith wrestled through their WBO cruiserweight title contest last Saturday, I never thought I would have to again suffer such a mind-numbing experience from so-called elite boxers.
      Nelson, a respected TV pundit, can  rest easy now the stigma he was saddled with has at last been lifted off his shoulders.
      Marcus Mc­Donnell, one of Britain’s finest and most experienced referees, is to blame for allowing  Sky viewers and the 15,000 sell-out crowd at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium to take unnecessary punishment.
      McDonnell should have had the courage to disqualify Okolie for making a mockery of such an important fight.

      I felt extremely sorry for local boy Billam-Smith — eager to put on a good show for his family and friends but stifled by Okolie’s constant holding.
      Limpet Lawrence, from the opening bell,  wrapped his long arms around him and refused to let go for most of the 36 minutes until Billam-Smith lifted the crown with a majority points win.
      And an exasperated McDonnell several times stopped the action to angrily lecture Okolie about his  persistent rule-breaking.
      Marcus bent over backwards so far, being kind to Okolie by not throwing him out, that it’s  a wonder he didn’t snap his spinal cord.

      He did at least deduct a couple of points but that still didn’t stop Okolie holding on to Billam-Smith for dear life.
      Chris must have  been mightily relieved that Okolie wasn’t still clinging to him when he went home.
      I can understand McDonnell’s reluctance to dismiss Okolie.
      No doubt, he had the paying ringside customers in mind.
      And he knew that, if he did disqualify him, Okolie’s purse would have been withheld pending a disciplinary hearing, which could have led to a sizeable fine.
      Marcus should have copied the late, great Mills Lane, who refereed Lennox Lewis’ world heavyweight title defence against Henry Akinwande in Nevada 26 years ago.
      Akinwande decided he wasn’t going to risk being hit so he grabbed Lewis’s arms from the start and refused to let go.
      After taking a point off Akinwande, Mills lost his patience in  the fifth when he spent 19 seconds trying to  get Henry to release his grip.
      Along with everyone else, I cheered when he sent Akinwande back to his dressing room in disgrace.

      Anthony Joshua SNUBS Tyson Fury as he pushes on with plans to fight Deontay Wilder in multi-million Saudi showdown

      ANTHONY JOSHUA has snubbed a historic Battle of Britain with Tyson Fury in order to throw down with Deontay Wilder, according to Frank Warren.Fury got boxing fans’ hopes of the long-awaited clash finally coming to fruition last month by claiming to have sent over a draft contract for a September showdown to Joshua’s representatives.

      AJ’s team, however, quickly dismissed the claim, insisting no preliminary contract had been sent their way.
      Negotiations, however, did take place – although Joshua’s management nixed the historic fight by doubling down on their intention to face Wilder in Saudi Arabia this winter.
      During an appearance on talkSPORT, the Queensberry Promotion’s chief Frank Warren: “Let me clarify what has actually happened.
      “Last week, a written proposal was sent to Matchroom for ‘AJ’ to fight Tyson in September.

      “Eddie Hearn came back and spoke to my son George, who said it will take a couple of days to see where they are with it.
      “A couple of days went by, and George met yesterday with AJ’s management company.
      “They confirmed that AJ is fighting in Dubai in December, that is his preferred route.”
      AJ promoter Eddie Hearn has earmarked August 12 for Joshua’s second outing of the year, provisionally reserving the O2 Arena.

      That has irked Warren, who added: “There is a space open in August, but they basically do not want to do the fight.
      “That is what happened.”
      Veteran prompter Warren was quick to walk back Fury’s claims of a preliminary contract being sent out.
      But he insists the WBC king is still hellbent on throwing down with the former two-time unified heavyweight champion.
      He said: “When Tyson said there was a draft contract, what happened is we had prepared a draft contract the last time we had negotiations.
      “So, there was nothing really to be concerned about in terms of negotiations; it was just if they wanted the fight or not.
      “So, the situation is: Tyson is desperate to make the fight happen, as he was against [Oleksandr] Usyk.
      “But AJ has chosen not to take the fight. That is where we are at.”

      Joshua’s decision to pursue a fight with Wilder is the THIRD time a dream fight with Fury has fallen through.
      The pair were due to throw down in the summer of 2021 after agreeing a two-fight deal.
      But their back-to-back bouts were scuppered when Wilder successfully won his arbitration case for a trilogy fight with Fury.
      Fury, 34, handed Joshua a shock world title lifeline last September just weeks after his fellow Brit’s second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
      AJ publicly accepted the offer but the fight didn’t come to fruition and Fury ended up fighting Derek Chisora in a much-lambasted trilogy fight.
      Fury hasn’t set foot in the ring since that December dust-up, which he won via tenth-round TKO.
