The cross-sport clash will happen under Queensberry rules over 10 rounds and NOT be for the Gypsy King’s iconic green and gold title.
The bout will happen in a standard boxing ring – not the metal cage 36-year-old Ngannou made his name in with the UFC.
And the Cameroonian powerhouse will not be able to use any of the kicks, elbows or chokeholds he learned in the Paris MMA gym he started his incredible story in.
Ngannou grew up in the impoverished village of Batie and was raised by his aunt before going to work on a sand mine aged just 10,

Aged 22 – with a dream to become the new Mike Tyson – Ngannou reached France illegally, after spending time in a Spanish prison, and was homeless once he landed in the French capital.
His first MMA gym was also his home before he went on an incredible run that took him to his 2015 UFC debut and the heavyweight title in 2021.
However, the 6ft 4in powerhouse fell out with the ruthless Las Vegas promotion, vacated his title and left in at the start of 2023.
The KO artist signed a new contract with MMA company PFL in May but he has permission to take on ventures in other sports.

Fury will get pelters from boxing purists who want to see him in an undisputed decider with WBA, WBO and IBF Oleksandr Usyk or an overdue all-English clash with Anthony Joshua.
But the Morecambe showman will insist he has offered both men lucrative deals and they are the ones to blame for him branching out into big-money freak fights.
Fury has already labelled Ngannou as a “big, stiff tramp” and has insisted he could KO him after downing 15 pints.

Anthony Joshua reveals details of unreleased Sky Sports footage and says ‘I got battered, I hope they won’t show that’

ANTHONY JOSHUA has revealed that he got “battered” by Jarrell Miller during the never aired episode of “The Gloves are Off” – and is praying that Sky Sports never release the footage. The American blew the chance to challenge AJ for the world titles in 2019 following a disgraceful drugs scandal.

The two were supposed to fight in 2019 before the American’s doping controversyCredit: AP:Associated Press
Miller blamed the failed tests on a tainted supplement and stem cell shots in his elbow.
He then received a contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank stable but again tested positive for a banned substance.
The second time around the former kickboxer put it down to a SEX PILL and was handed a two-year suspension.
Joshua eventually faced Andy Ruiz Jr instead in his US debut, only to suffer his first professional defeat as he was sensationally stopped in the seventh round.

But before that loss, AJ had time to get into a heated showdown with Miller before his late withdrawal due to the doping controversy.
And now AJ has revealed to IFL TV details of unreleased footage involving the pair as they met for a face-off on the hit Sky Sports show ahead of their later postponed showdown.
Joshua began rapping after growing tired of the trash talking – but it was a decision that came back to bite him in the backside.
The heavyweight stumbled through his final bars, AJ then found himself on the receiving end of a five-minute long verbal KO as Miller took him apart.

The 33-year-old said: “It was 1-1 in face-offs but I got battered. We had a freestyle battle. Miller has bars.
“I was just taking shot, after shot, after shot after shot… I was just thinking “this mother…”
“I hope they don’t show that, and if they do, I want some royalties.”
Joshua had previously joked: “I’m so glad our fight fell through.”
After serving the ban, Miller did enrol in VADA testing which saw his licence in Las Vegas reinstated.
He has returned in four bouts since and one exhibition on Floyd Mayweather’s undercard, where he called out Tyson Fury, 34.
Meanwhile, Joshua will face Dillian Whyte in a rematch next on August 12. More

I’ve shared the ring with Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte… I predict the fight will end in a stoppage by round nine

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Dillian Whyte will renew a bitter heavyweight rivalry when they share the ring once again. Whyte beat Joshua in a 2009 amateur bout but was stopped six years later in the professional ranks.

Now they settle the score on August 12 at the O2 Arena in a must-win fight for both men.
Derek Chisora had two thrillers with Whyte, 35, losing the first on points in 2016 before being knocked out two years later.
And he has also shared the ring with AJ on occasions in sparring, leaving him well placed to predict the bout.
Chisora, 39, said: “There are so many factors playing in this thing already.

“We’re five weeks away from the fight. AJ’s doing an eight-hour flight to Vegas.
“He’s gonna get there, jet-lagged, get tired, come back on an another eight-hour fight here when Dillian will be in London, training in Manchester.
“I think that in the first two-three rounds, Dillian will cause a bit of a commotion on AJ, but AJ will just bite his gum shield and round eight-nine Dillian gets knocked out.”
Joshua, 33, heads into the rematch knowing he risks a super-fight in Saudi Arabia against Deontay Wilder.

But AJ refused to look to Wilder, 37, or Tyson Fury, 34, as he hit out at the pair.
He said: “Wilder and them lot have been doing my head in for years, you’ve seen now the shenanigans in the heavyweight division – even with Fury, saying he was training for Usyk, you can see all the lies going on so I don’t waste my time with time wasters.
“I just want to fight, get on with it. I’m going to be 34 this year, let’s crack on while I’m here, I’m not going to waste my time waiting for people and chasing for people.
“Even from the amateurs you could see the trajectory I was on; ready to get down, ready to put my neck on the line and fight whoever and it is still like that.”

Jake Paul ‘reveals’ how much KSI is paying Tommy Fury for fight… but says rival should be making FOUR TIMES more

JAKE PAUL has claimed Tommy Fury should be paid FOUR TIMES more than what KSI is giving him for their fight. Paul suffered defeat for the first time in February, losing a split-decision to Fury in Saudi Arabia.
Tommy Fury facing off with KSICredit: Leigh Dawney/Misfits Boxing
But he snubbed a rematch to instead return on August 5 in Texas against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38.
So Fury, 24, turned his attention to KSI, 30, and the two are closing in on the latest celebrity blockbuster bout.
Paul, 26, claimed his old rival is set to earn $1.5million (£1.1m) but should demand quadruple that.
He said on his podcast: “KSI is offering you like $1.5m which is way underpaid for Tommy, especially coming off that win. Tommy should be making $5-6m and it’s crazy and bizarre to me that Tommy is even entertaining that.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
“But whatever he wants to do that’s why I put out the offer like, ‘Yeah let’s run it in October’ which is when that fight’s going to be anyway.
“I’m ready, Tommy knows it’s a bigger fight and bigger payday.”
Despite the inside information, KSI’s manager Mams Taylor hit back: “Absolute nonsense! This kid is so sour.”
KSI is set to jump up to 185lb at the request of Fury but insisted there must be a rehydration clause limiting what they can weigh on fight day.

Promoter Kalle Sauerland tweeted to say the weight had been agreed and that a deal was “very close”.
Paul had offered to rematch Fury if talks with KSI collapsed and the deal appears to still be on the table.
He said: “I obviously always wanted to do the rematch.
“But it seems like KSI is kind of bulls***ting him and doesn’t want to make the whole entire weight situation work out.
“KSI loves to weight drain people as much as possible, I don’t know if the fight’s actually going to go through.
“KSI is delusional and he has the craziest ego and he thinks he’s way better than he is.
“Tommy’s going to knock him the f*** out but he’s going to learn, that’s fine.”

Tyson Fury laughs off claims he should be STRIPPED of world title and says ‘keep on hating motherf***ers’

TYSON FURY laughed off claims he should be STRIPPED of his world title and goaded: “Keep on hating motherf***ers.” Fury has faced backlash as he prepares to announce his next fight against ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

Deontay Wilder’s coach and Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter are among those to say the WBC champion should have his belt taken away from him.
But Fury seemed unremorseful as he hit back at the criticism.
He said: “Hey guys, little bit of clarification.
“I hear there’s a lot of unknown, irrelevant people talking about how I should be stripped of me belt.

“Ha ha ha! Don’t hate the player, hate the game. I don’t have a mandatory.
“When I do have a mandatory, it will be dealt with just like every other mandatory I’ve ever had. Until then, keep on hating motherf***ers!
“And enjoy the little, little, little, tiny bit of money you guys are making. All the big Gs in the house.”
Fury, 34, failed in talks to fight Usyk, 36, this year in what would have been the first four-belt unification in heavyweight history.

Now Usyk defends his unified titles on August 26 against mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois, 25, in Poland.
Meanwhile Anthony Joshua, 33, returns in a rematch on August 12 against Dillian Whyte, 35.
And a super-fight with Wilder is lined up for December in Saudi Arabia, leaving Fury frozen out of the picture.
So the Gypsy King turned his attention to Ngannou, 36, with the pair set to confirm what is believed to be an exhibition bout.
Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk told Seconds Out: “I don’t think it should be relinquished, no.
“He can be stripped for only one reason if he does not comply with the WBC rules.According to my understanding, he does.
“At least he did, he fought [Dillian] Whyte for the mandatory, and now they have to appoint a new mandatory because a new mandatory is not appointed.
“So, he is not actually breaking any rule of the WBC, but from a sports point of view he has to be stripped because he stays inactive for so long and he’s cheating people [by] announcing fights that don’t take place.”

UFC legend Nate Diaz risks injury by taking part in gruelling sport THREE WEEKS before Jake Paul fight

NATE DIAZ risks potentially picking up an injury just weeks before his showdown with Jake Paul – by taking part in TWO triathlons. The former UFC lightweight title challenger will lock horns with the YouTuber-turned-boxer in a Dallas dust-up on August 5.

Diaz, 38, has trained in triathlons throughout his career in order to keep himself in tip-top shape.
And he would’ve taken part in back-to-back triathlons by the time he shares the ring with Problem Child Paul.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he said: “I’ve got a race this weekend and next weekend also.
“But this one’s going to be in a lake so that’s good. Those are my favourite races.”

Diaz shares his love of triathlons with brother Nick, who has competed in the treacherous ‘Escape From Alcatraz’ – in which competitors swim from the notorious island prison back to mainland San Franciso.
But Nate has yet to participate in the race, admitting: “I never did Alcatraz though, my brother did it.
“I would have done that one but we race all year long.
“And about a week or two out I try not to do too big of races.

“So every time he’s done Alcatraz I was about two weeks out from a fight so I’d always miss that race.
“But I’ve done other stuff like I did the Big Kahuna half Ironman in Santa Cruz, out there you swim around the pier.
“The whole team you hear seals and a load of s**t, it’s the scariest thing ever I hate those.”
Nate isn’t the biggest fan of ocean swims – mainly because of his fear of being eaten by sharks.
He continued: “Every time we would be on the beach getting ready to go in the morning, my brother would be all pumped up.
“I’d be like ‘Motherf****r, I’m only doing this because of you and now I’m going to get eaten by a shark’.

“I hate ocean swims but I’ve done a bunch of them and now that my brother hasn’t been competing as much, I haven’t been dragged into too many ocean ones.”
Nate’s clash with Paul will be his maiden professional boxing match and first outing since officially leaving the UFC last November.
And former Disney star Paul plans to make it a long night at the office for the Stockton slugger.
The 26-year-old said: “I’m going to make sure it’s a living hell the whole time.

Boxing fans in stitches after Dillian Whyte asks Eddie Hearn VERY X-rated question about Anthony Joshua during presser

Whyte’s cheeky question sparked scores of laughter during the presserCredit: GETTY
Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn mediated the presser, which was less eventful than their first presser eight years ago.
And he found himself in Whyte’s firing line for snubbing him during his recent stopover in the USA – during which he visited AJ in Texas.
That led the former WBC heavyweight champion to say: “Can I ask one question: “What does AJ’s balls taste like?”
The entire room – Hearn included – burst into laughter following Whyte’s cheeky question.

Hearn took the jibe in his stead and replied by saying: “You might find out on August 12th.”
That sparked even more laughter, including from Joshua – who said: “F**k around and find out”
Whyte made sure he didn’t let Hearn have the last word, saying: “I think he’ll be teabagging you on the 13th.”
Boxing fans were quick to comment on the hilarious exchange, with one saying: “You gotta love Dillian.”

Another said: “Dillian doesn’t half come out with some funny stuff – doesn’t give a s**t.”
And another said: “Superb delivery from Hearn. Fair play.”
One remarked: “Eddie has ruined Dillian here.”
Another chimed in: “Hearn must have got flashbacks to when Haye put it on him at a presser lol.”
Whyte and Joshua will renew their rivalry at The O2 Arena on August 12 – nearly eight years after their British heavyweight title fight.

Former unified heavyweight champion AJ will look to use Whyte as a springboard for a multi-million-pound December dust-up with Deontay Wilder.
And he admits the stakes are extremely high for his second domestic showdown with his long-time rival.
He said: “It’s a huge night for my career. I’m gonna be victorious, 100 per cent.
