The two heavyweights first faced off in 2015 with Joshua winning via seventh-round stoppage.
But Whyte made sure AJ would never forget that fight with a thunderous left hook in the second round.
Joshua told DAZN: “As I’ve gone to throw a right hand, you’re supposed to sit back on your back foot and rotate to get your leverage.
“What I did, I lent over my front hand, which puts me in the firing line and boom! A left hook hits me.

“I didn’t see it coming, because I wasn’t interested in what was coming back, I’m just interested in attacking Dillian.
“It was a peach of a punch and it shook me down to me boots.”
Joshua is gearing up for a fight with immense importance for his career after two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
The 33-year-old, who bounced back with a win over Jermaine Franklin in April, and Whyte have been rivals since their teenage years.

And Joshua’s fans are hoping his fellow Brit will help him rediscover his old tenacity.
The stakes are high for AJ as a win could lead to a blockbuster clash against Deontay Wilder.
However, the heavyweight remains optimistic ahead of the crucial fight.
Joshua said: “It’s a huge night for my career. I’m gonna be victorious, 100 per cent.
“That’s my goal, that’s my plan. And yeah, that’s my motivation.
“So yeah, I’m looking forward to it. Respect to the team. May the best man win.” More

She was subsequently banned from the event’s final, while promoter Hearn was critical of the scene in general.
Speaking to Boxing Social on the night, Hearn declared: “One thing we must understand is that ain’t boxing.
“And that needs to be pushed, all that stuff, Misfits, Kingpyn, it needs to be booted so far away from professional boxing and we really need to disassociate ourselves with what it is.”
Daniella has now directly addressed Hearn’s comments in an interview with The Mirror, but did agree with his sentiment that pro boxing should be dissociated with influencer boxing.

On Hearn’s criticism, she said: “It was bound to happen. it’s inevitable, isn’t it?
“Eddie Hearn seems to hate YouTube boxing, he thinks it’s a p*** take and at the end of the day it’s not professional boxing and I think people need to remember that.
“Professional boxing should totally have its own segment and should be respected in its own way and I think YouTube boxing is entertainment as well as boxing.
“It’s all different personalities and celebrities coming into the sport, putting on a massive show with all the entertainment and the build-up towards it.

“It’s not just boxing it’s everything surrounded by it. So I think Eddie Hearn even needs to remember that… YouTube boxing and professional boxing should work together to separate it.”
Since the incident, Hemsley has revealed she will be taking a break from boxing with an aim to return at the end of the year.
Taking to her Instagram, she also treated her 189,000 followers to a barely-there bikini picture of her facing out of her window.
On her boob-flashing, she remarked: “I wanted to get them viral moments, that’s what it’s all about, right?
“I didn’t think it would blow up the way that it did and I’m always going to get positive and negative comments.
“Actually, with what I did flashing my boobs and stuff I got way more positive comments than negative.
“My whole YouTube boxing journey so far has been negative and I think I have gained a lot of respect and a lot of new fans not necessarily from just winning my fight but also expressing myself and not being afraid to show who I am either.”
Daniella has been given support from the likes of Ebanie Bridges.

The American bruiser found himself in crisis mode and was desperate to make the snaps go away.
So much so, that the Golden Boy was even convinced to pay “millions of dollars” to the Russian mob as he felt they would help erase all the evidence that he thought would tarnish his image.
De La Hoya told ET: “They told me this story about the Russian mob and this and that and [how] we gotta pay millions of dollars…
“I’m like, ‘Yeah, well, just make it go away. It’s gonna ruin my image. It’s gonna ruin who the Golden Boy is, and people are gonna hate me. Just make it go away.”

De La Hoya, though, also revealed he had a “whole machine” behind him that helped him repeatedly deny the photos’ authenticity until he finally admitted the truth in March.
The 50-year-old also confirmed he paid forensics to tell the public those images were Photoshopped.
The incident created issues with his marriage, however it didn’t stop him from continuing to party.
The now boxing promoter, though, believes that all the press helped him sell more pay-per-views.

De La Hoya told The MMA Hour: “I have a whole machine behind me. I’m in the peak of my career, right?
“And we’re, like, ‘Holy s**t! How are we gonna make these things disappear, these photos? Let’s hire this forensic…’ I don’t know what he was.
“He was going through everything, pixel by pixel, and we convince him with money, to say that they were fake.
“And the world believed it that they were Photoshopped. And we were home free.

“And guess what happens? I’m married at the time. My wife is angry at me.
“She’s fed up with me because I’m left and right cheating on her and this and that. She convinces me to go on national TV and tell the truth.
“She wanted me to look like a fool. She wanted to get back at me. And I did it.
“I think there’s a certain feeling when you tell the truth. But what was incredible is that I was so big at the time, popular and making money and this and that, that I couldn’t do any wrong.
“I think I sold more pay-per-views because of it. Which was crazy.

Fury’s controversial dance with the MMA superstar was finalised just months after his proposed undisputed title fight with Oleksandr Usyk fell through.
The WBC king’s clash with Ngannou has been branded a farce by several heavyweights, including Michael Hunter – who reckons the division as a whole is now in complete disarray.
The Bounty told SecondsOut: “They want the fame.
“They want excuses and most of them make them, know what I’m saying.

“It’s a bad thing for boxing as a whole.
“I take my hat off to Francis Ngannou, to him and his team, for making that fight happen.
“There was an opening and an opportunity ’cause we basically got a clown holding the belts and it’s a bad situation.”
Hunter’s frustrations with the heavyweight division – however – don’t extend to former foe and current unified champ Usyk.

He said of the undefeated Ukrainian, who fights Brit Daniel Dubois next month: “He’s done it all.
“He wants to be cruiserweight champ, heavyweight champ, he went into the Olympics.
“And he wants all the belts, and that’s how it should be. I feel he would fight an even faster place if it was allowed.”
Hunter reckons heavyweight has stalled due to the division’s top dogs not putting aside their egos and testing themselves.

He said: “Their hearts get broken, they’re emotional, their egos are too involved.
“They can’t stick with reality, they get the big head and they really think they can do something.
“I feel like Tyson Fury, he dodged a bullet on Usyk, he’s a real hard competitor, he would give Tyson Fury a problem, that’s not a secret, there’s no way he should not be fighting.
“It’s not good for the whole situation. I feel like it’s a selfish move on Fury’s behalf.” More

Naoya Inoue becomes four-weight world champ with BRUTAL win over Stephen Fulton as referee forced to stop fight

NAOYA INOUE ripped the unified super-bantamweight titles from Stephen Fulton in blistering fashion to become a FOUR-WEIGHT world champion. The former undisputed bantamweight king moved up in weight to challenge Fulton for his WBC and WBO straps on Tuesday afternoon in front of a packed crowd at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The Monster was hoping to cement his status as one of boxing’s pound-for-pound kings with an emphatic victory over the American.
And he did just that with an eighth-round stoppage of the previously unbeaten Fulton to capture belts in his FOURTH weight class.
Inoue set the pace from the get-go, taking the centre of the ring and being light on his feet as he tried to get reads on the American.
And get them he did as he began to find a home for his piston jab – many of which were aimed at the body – and rip-roaring hooks.

Fulton, surprisingly, offered very little in terms of offence.
Perhaps it was the magnitude of the occasion or fighting arguably boxing’s pound-for-pound king enemy territory which got to him.
But either way, he was a shell of the fighter we’ve seen in recent years.
He did, however, showcase some of his true self in round seven – which proved to be the penultimate stanza of the contest.

Fulton found himself on the canvas just over 40 seconds into the eighth after eating a huge right hand and a follow-up left hook.
Inoue set up the stinging right with a stiff jab to the head of the American, who absorbed them to the body for the majority of the fight.
Fulton beat the count but was a wounded animal in desperate need of a break.
That break, however, didn’t come as Inoue – one of the sport’s bests finishers – went in for the kill.
The 30-year-old cornered the American and began teeing off on him as he turtled up to try and protect himself.
But some of the stinging punches got through and prompted the referee to jump in and wave off the contest as he collapsed to the canvas.

Another said: “Best fighter on the planet. Absolutely no doubt about it.”
And another said: “Inoue just on a different level- so fast.
