      I’ve fought Tommy Fury and he doesn’t have the heart of a fighter, don’t be surprised if he crumbles against KSI

      TOMMY FURY has been accused of lacking the “heart of a fighter” which could lead to his demise against KSI. Fury, 24, is set to face YouTube, music and crossover boxing star KSI, 30, on October 14 in Manchester.

      It comes after he beat KSI’s arch enemy Jake Paul by split-decision in Saudi Arabia in February.
      But despite that victory, Fury’s former opponent Anthony Taylor – who he beat in 2021 – has hit out at the former Love Islander.
      Taylor, 34, told Neue Online Casinos: “This is a really, really close 50-50 match-up. Don’t be surprised if KSI knocks Tommy out.
      “We know Tommy can box a bit, but I can tell you from first hand experience, Tommy is like the lion in the wizard of Oz without a heart.

      “If KSI can make him uncomfortable, and stick with for those early rounds, and then land his power shots, don’t be surprised if Tommy crumbles and never gets back up.
      “He doesn’t have the heart of a fighter.”

      Paul snubbed a rematch with Fury to instead return over the weekend against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz.
      And Taylor – who formerly sparred the prankster-turned prizefighter – warned Diaz of his brutal power.

      He said: “I hear Jake Paul is looking superhuman in this camp, he’s training with killers and there’s no question he’s going to send Nate Diaz into retirement.
      “Respect to Diaz, he’s had a great career, but he’s not going to know what’s hit him when Jake detonates on his chin.
      “I’ve tasted Jake’s power and his right hand hits like a baseball bat.
      “Given Diaz’s age and how much smaller he is compared to Jake, I don’t see how Diaz can stand up to that kind of firepower.”

      He is taking on UFC legend Diaz, 38, who will make his boxing debut in Dallas this weekend.
      And Paul has claimed he is in the “best shape of my life” as he prepares for the “biggest moment of my life”.
      The 6-1 boxer posted several images of him in training camp, from sparring shots to him relaxing in the pool and chilling with friends.
      And he added a lengthy message which read: “We’re just days away from the biggest moment of my life and I’m sitting here on the couch reflecting on these photos and thankful for the best camp of my life.

      “We created so many amazing memories and trained harder than ever before.
      “I’m in the best shape of my life, the best headspace I’ve ever been in, and have never been this focused.

      Paul takes on Diaz two months before his YouTube rival KSI faces Fury at the AO Arena in Manchester on October 14.
      Paul’s loss to Fury has pushed back a clash with KSI – a bout that would attract widespread attention online.
      But the American internet sensation insists he is not bothered about losing to Fury.
      He said: “It’s interesting that a loss can give you more conviction on what it is that you’re supposed to be doing and what you’re here to do. 
      “It can actually reset you on a proper path and that’s exactly what it did for me.
      “Now I’m feeling better than ever, stronger than ever, in the best shape of my life, best team around me and I couldn’t be happier.

      The competition, backed by the British Boxing Board of Control and starting in September, aims to catapult prospects who have missed out on elite amateur success – or social media Insta-fame – into the mainstream mix.
      And Man City’s favourite former world champ – who made his name selling tickets pub-to-pub and winning fights soaked in blood – is the perfect man to push the new premise, especially after helping make Tommy Fury a millionaire and household name, with minimal boxing experience.
      “I quite enjoyed going pub-to-pub selling my tickets!”, the working-class hero laughed about his start in the business. “It was fine by me.
      “There was no social media or reality TV when I was around but I advised Tommy Fury to go on Love Island because I knew it would create a lot of opportunities for him, on top of being a talented boxer.

      “Because we didn’t have social media, in my time, it was all about the personal touch, which fans like.
      “My social media is a mix of me looking after myself and my mental health, looking after my fighters and my kids.

      It will be Paul’s fourth MMA veteran opponent, having beaten Ben Askren, 39, Tyron Woodley, 41, and Anderson Silva, 48.
      Cage fighter and now influencer boxer Anthony Taylor, 34, sparred Paul, 26, in preparation for two of those bouts.
      And he warned of the brutal power the American has in his backhand, believing it will be too much for Diaz, 38, to handle.

      He said: “If he makes it out of the third round i’d be surprised. Don’t blink.

      “Conor is a sharpshooter, so it will be more of a difficult fight than Nate, but I expect Jake to rag doll Conor around the ring once he’s found his range and timing.
      “Ending the careers of Conor and Nate back to back would be a hell of an achievement.”

      He said: “After losing to Tommy I landed myself a bigger name and a bigger fight in terms of the ticket sales, the commercial pay-per-view.

      “Everything is pointing towards this being the biggest event ever and I didn’t think that would be possible after losing to Tommy. 
      “So it’s interesting, I guess you can’t predict these things but I guess the number one thing is if people want to still see my fight then I’ll still have big fights.

      “It’s really the fanbase that drives me, right. It’s like Deontay Wilder losing a couple of times to Tyson Fury but everyone still wants to see him fight. 
      “It all just depends and it’s really how you go out. If you’re going to get knocked out but if you lose a split-decision and it’s a war and it’s a good fight, it’s a lot easier to come back from that.” 
      Paul still plans to rematch Fury but insisted the opportunity to finally fight Diaz was too good to pass up on.
      He explained: “Nate has a massive name, he’s a massive pay-per-view draw of the UFC times and to me that’s exciting. 
      “I haven’t yet fought a massive pay-per-view draw in the prime of their career while they’re still hot and active.

      So for his return bout over the weekend – against Nate Diaz – Paul went back to the drawing board.
      He parted ways with ex-cruiserweight contender BJ Flores and his co-trainer Danny Smith.
      And instead Paul re-hired boxing legend Shane Mosley, his first ever trainer, to come into the camp as an advisor.
      And Theotrice Chambers will now act as head coach in the American’s Puerto Rico base camp.

      Paul, 26, has also worked with some top-flight sparring partners, including 8-0 middleweight Joshua Pagan, 23.
      And Pagan, whose promoter Dmitriy Salita put him in touch with Paul’s team, gave an insight into the training camp.
      He told SunSport: “This camp was really great. We trained at 10am every day, followed by strength and conditioning later in the day.
      “It was pretty similar to what a day in my camp is like. Jake’s work ethic and willingness to learn is what impressed me about him.

      “He comes into the gym focused and ready to work, and I respect that because that is how I am when it is time to work.”
      Pagan and his father had initially expressed interest in working with Paul’s coach Chambers. 
      So Salita then made it known and before long the prospect flew out to sunny Puerto Rico for sparring.

      And Pagan expects a similar result, as he said: “My prediction for the Nate Diaz fight is a unanimous decision for Jake.
      “I think Jake just has too many tools in his arsenal, and what he is learning in this camp is going to pay off and show come fight night.”

      He said: “Jake should definitely have the rematch with Tommy Fury after this fight.

      And Paul reckons TNT won’t let KSI – real name Olajide Williams – see the final round.
      He told Mirror Fighting: “I think Tommy knocks him out in like less than five rounds.”
      KSI thought he’d picked up his fourth win in a row in May when he stopped self-proclaimed billionaire Joe Fournier in the second round of their Wembley Arena war.

      But replays showed he hit pal of former heavyweight champion David Haye with an illegal elbow and the KO was overturned to a No Contest.
      And Paul wouldn’t be surprised if his long-time rival made use of his right elbow again.
      The Problem Child added: “I mean [KSI] is doing these gimmick WWE fights up until now.
      “Tommy is his first real test, but who knows, he might throw an elbow on Tommy, too.”
