    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 9)
“Katie, Katie, Katie”, is the shout from the crowd and that gets a response from their hero, who is back throwing a flurry of punches.
Cameron warned on use of the elbow by the referee, having already roughed Taylor up with the use of her shoulder a round previously.
Taylor using the energy of the crowd to bounce back from a powerful right hand from Cameron to go back on the offence.
Think Cameron might well need a stoppage as the crowd rise to their feet…..
    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 8)
    Another exceptional round of boxing.
Taylor looked absolutely out on her feet towards the end as Cameron is really roughing her up, particularly with two big uppercuts on the inside.
But Taylor fights back with a big right hand with seconds to go in the round from nowhere!
Cheap shot a second after the bell from Cameron just adds a bit more spice – not that it needed it.
    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 7)
What a finish to the round – one of the best rounds of the year!!
Cameron determined to get on the front foot and take control of this fight and chases Taylor round the ring.
There’s holding for 20 seconds or so as the pace looks to slow.
Then it explodes into life with Taylor landing a three-punch combo, which Cameron counters with an overhand right hand which lands at the side of the head of Taylor.
There’s a big exchange for the final 15 seconds and we’re gutted to hear the bell!

    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 6)
Blistering speed from Taylor in the early exchanges and she lands two huge right hand hooks.
The crowd level goes up a notch as she throws a flurry of rapid shots.
Cameron throws a beauty of a right hand with 15 seconds left of the round and she needed that badly.
Taylor throws back at the end but not landing anything of note.
    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 5)
Much better from Cameron there as she goes onto the front foot.
Nothing much has bothered Taylor so far though and she sees the round out well.
Taylor’s defence has been solid as a rock so far as we hit half time.
    Header
    Ouch, that’s a sore one!

    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 4)
The doctor called at the start of the round for a nasty gash on Cameron’s head but we go on.
Taylor’s defensive work on the back foot is so impressive. Taylor waiting patiently and lands successive body shots when on the counter.
Good work from Cameron on the body of Taylor but the Irish fighter takes it well and finishes the round strong again.

    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 3)
A nasty cut opening up on Cameron’s forehead in that round.
Taylor with a great flurry of punches in the early exchanges before Cameron grew into the round late on.
Another clash of heads comes as Cameron sends Taylor into the ropes and the collide as the rebounds off.
Cameron looking to the referee for help on a couple of occasions for clinching.
    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 2)
Absolutely no let up in the second round! Every Taylor success cheered like a goal.
The referee steps in twice as Cameron tries to rough Taylor up.
Taylor with a good follow through right hand towards the end of the round – which was topped off by a couple of punches thrown after the bell. Tremendous stuff.

    Cameron vs Taylor (Round 1)
Blimey, what a round of boxing.
A clash of heads looks to have done damage to the forehead of Cameron early on as Taylor’s first 30 seconds were explosive.
Cameron grew into the round and landed a good right punch towards the end of the round too.
The Fields of Athenry belted out by the crowd too.
    TAYLOR’S DOWN!
She’s knocked off balance but the referee says it’s not a knockdown.
    Interesting.
    Here we go!
The referee is ready, the fighters touch gloves.
Redemption or Repetition? Let’s find out….
    In the red corner…
Honestly, I cannot do justice the noise as ‘the fighting pride of Ireland’ is introduced to the crowd.
Cameron is crowded by the belts in her corner and she looks so focused.

    Cameron enters
There were boos initially but the crowd are drowning out her ring walk music by serenading Taylor who waits patiently in the ring.
She makes Taylor wait a touch longer before striding purposefully towards the ring.
This place couldn’t be any more pumped right now – incredible.
    Here she comes!
The golden girl of women’s boxing enters the arena to an outrageous ovation from the home crowd.
Raise A Hallelujah the song of choice for the ring walk, though it’s hard to make out amongst the cheering.
Those will soon change now Taylor is in the ring, as Cameron makes her way…
    Taylor on the way
The atmosphere was already raucous, then Sweet Caroline was put on.
That meant we were close to fight time. Then a huge cheer erupts as the big screen shows Katie Taylor making her way through the back corridors and on her way to this arena.
She’ll walk out first which is something different for her!
The stage is set – and it’s perfect.

    Not happy
Chantelle Cameron is not happy that the fight falls on Taylor’s terms once again, with the backing of the Irish crowd again – as it was six months ago.
The difference this time is the Northampton fighter gets top billing.
She said: “It is like deja vu. I’m singing to Katie’s tune again.
“I’m over in Dublin, I’m putting my belts on the line. She could have put her belts on the line and drained me and got me down to 135. Or we could have gone anywhere else in the world and had this rematch, but I’m singing to Katie’s tune again. I’m putting my belts on the line, I’m back in Dublin.”
    Talking of betting
Chantelle Cameron comes into this rematch as the odds-on favourite.
Taylor takes the underdog tag for the first time in a long, long time – if ever!

    Cameron win 4/9
    Taylor win 13/8
    Draw 12/1

    Now – THE BIG ONE!
Chantelle Cameron vs Katie Taylor isn’t far away now!
Taylor is on a revenge mission here and has promised that the rematch will be a different fight to last time.
She said: “I’m very much single-minded, the only people I listen to are my team, my family and the people I trust.
“I understand this is a huge fight, a must-win fight for me and I can’t wait to step in there.
“It’s going to be a completely different fight than the last time and I’m just excited to showcase that.”
    Cully reacts…
He told DAZN: “Yeah man, I’m a bit lost for words. Thank you for everyone who bought a ticket to come out and support. Dublin always comes out.
    “I’m back, baby.
“Reece came to win and I know he did, he’s a tough cookie.
“This was a real fight and there was loads of pressure on me. But it’s why I’m in this game.”

    Back on track
The difference in styles was there to be seen but Cully does just about get the verdict.
Mould actually took the win according to one of the scorers, with Cully taking it from the other two.
    97-93 Mould
    97-93 Cully
    96-93 Cully
    Here come the scores….
GARY CULLY HAS WON VIA SPLIT DECISION!
    Cully vs Mould (Round 10….)
Mould’s camp told him to apply the pressure and he couldn’t have done any more!
That was a big last couple of rounds from Mould and he probably took the opening two rounds too.
The bell goes and the pair embrace again before both celebrating.
    These scores will be interesting….
    Cully vs Mould (Round 10….)
Plenty of respect from the fighters before the 10th round as they touch gloves an embrace.
Both corners think this fight is still up for grabs and Mould goes straight after Cully with scoring right hands.
A big two minutes ahead! More

Eddie Hearn says Tyson Fury is in ‘DECLINE’ as he makes major U-turn on Oleksandr Usyk fight prediction

EDDIE HEARN reckons Tyson Fury’s best days are behind him after his lacklustre display against Francis Ngannou. The Gypsy King eked out a narrow points victory over the boxing novice in their Saudi showdown last month, which he won via split decision.

Fury, 35, was dropped by the former UFC heavyweight champion in the third round of their Riyadh Rumble, in which he looked devoid of ideas.
The Morecambe warrior will look to become the undisputed king of the heavyweights against Oleksandr Usyk in February following his horror show against Ngannou.
And Hearn reckons Fury will enter the unification fight somewhat of a shell of the fighter he was when he was his peak.
He told Boxing Social: “I think Tyson Fury, Look, there are a lot of signs that he might be in decline after the Ngannou fight.

That being said, Hearn believes Fury will be too much for former undisputed cruiserweight king Usyk too handle if he takes the fight seriously.
He continued: “But if he is back to his best, if he is firing on all cylinders, I do expect him to win that fight.”
Hearn’s latest prediction for the fight is in stark contrast to initial assessment of the dust-up.
He said: “Usyk is a special breed, we’ve [Anthony Joshua] had two cracks at him.

“Usyk-Fury is a mismatch, no one wants to see it.”
Hearn’s concerns about Fury’s recent displays are also shared by the WBC heavyweight king’s dad John.
He said: “The 17th February is the date they have got to work towards.
“But in my opinion, Tyson needs a bit more time to get his conditioning right and his weight right.
“For me, it looked like he had lost 20lbs of muscle last time. Something was wrong.
“For my money, his last three fights, I have seen a bit of decline. Not a decline in ability but a decline in strength, power and physical condition.
“I don’t know what they are doing up there, you have to address it. He didn’t look himself out in Saudi.
“He didn’t look right, everything had changed about him, his demeanour, his body. I was puzzled.
“He said he had been training but there is training and there is training.
“If you’re going at your own pace no one is going to tell you otherwise, no one is going to offend you or kick you up the backside.
“No one can teach Tyson how to box, or teach him more than he knows. All they can do is put some muscle on there and make his body rock solid.
“For my money he looked fat-thin, he should have been better, a bit heavier with a lot more muscle.
“Tyson is a mammoth fella. He needs to power up in the body department and the only way you do that is a proper course and they take time and we don’t have the time.”

Eddie Hearn reveals new timeline for Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder ahead of blockbuster Saudi card

EDDIE HEARN is hoping a spring showdown between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will come to fruition in the next few weeks. The long-time rivals were on course for a December dust-up before Saudi boxing chiefs, bizarrely, withdrew their interest in hosting the fight.

Both men, however, will be in action on a hastily put-together Christmas cracker of a card on December 23, in which they’ll take on Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker respectively.
Fight fans around the world are hoping both men dispatch Wallin and Parker to preserve their long-overdue showdown, which Hearn hopes to put on in March.
He told The MacLife: “We had six weeks, really, when we received a phone call from Saudi Arabia to say, ‘Do you want to fight on the card?
“‘Otto Wallin is the opponent. And at the same time, we got offered fights for [Dmitry] Bivol and [Jai] Opetaia and AJ was up for it.

“He wanted to fight three times this year. Wilder is on the card; victory for both and the fight is inevitable.
“We got from a situation of it being pretty much agreed for January to not being agreed.

And Hearn believes their grudge match would be the perfect fight to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Rumble in the Jungle.
The Matchroom Boxing chief told the BBC: “It’s something that would be iconic for the sport.
“When we’re visiting these countries, there’s government funding to stage these events.
“Sometimes that isn’t forthcoming in all areas but there have been discussions and I think it will happen in time.
“We’ve had a couple of approaches. Obviously, Anthony Joshua – with his Nigerian descent – is always keen to visit and stage a major event there.”
With that anniversary approaching, we’ve often talked about a big Anthony Joshua fight – even revisiting the famous scenes in Zaire of the Rumble in the Jungle.
“Visually, it would be incredible and something Anthony would love to tick off the box before the end of his career.”
Joshua will enter his Saudi showdown with Wallin – who took Tyson Fury the distance back in 2019 – on the back of consecutive wins over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius.
Wilder, meanwhile, faces former WBO heavyweight champ Parker on the back of a brutal one-punch KO of Helenius last October.

I’m the last man to beat Floyd Mayweather but ended up working at sausage factory and living on £370 state handout

SERAFIM TODOROV is the last man to have gotten the better of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. But unlike multi-millionaire Mayweather, the Sweet Science was far from kind to the Bulgarian.

A fresh-faced Mayweather, 19, locked horns with the veteran in a featherweight showdown in the semi-finals of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Mayweather’s dream of winning Olympic gold on home soil was crushed by a then-28-year-old Todorov, who used his experience and strength to score a 10-9 victory and move on to the gold medal fight.
Todorov – who lost the gold medal match to Thailand’s Somluck Kamsing – quickly fell on hard times after turning down a promotional deal and failing to switch allegiance to Turkey for the World Amateur Boxing Championships the following year.
He hung up his gloves in 2003 but came out of retirement in 2015 at the grand old age of 46.

And not long after returning to the ring, he revealed that he was living off government handouts
He said: “I live on just a handout from the state, the money I get from the government is not enough, my family have no jobs.
‘It’s hard here because it is a small town and there is very little work.
“I did have a bigger house in my home town, Peshtera, 20km from where I live now but I had to sell because I had no money to get by.”

Financial woes are something Mayweather couldn’t have contemplated at the time, with the former five-weight world champion becoming a multi-millionaire thanks to multiple championship pay-per-view fights.
Todorov – who supplemented his dole by working at a sausage factory – isn’t in any way envious of Mayweather and instead reflects fondly on his run to Olympic silver.
He said: “My experience was much stronger. I beat all the Russians, all the Cubans, some Americans, Germans, Olympic champions.
“I was making fun of them in the ring. British, French – I beat them all.
“I was very smart. I was a very beautiful and attractive fighter to watch.
“You must be an artist in the ring. I was an artist.
“It was just like any other fight, to be honest – I had beaten much stronger fighters.
“I wanted to hope that things here could get better. It was stupid. I came back and I found hell.”
Mayweather – who retired from boxing in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record – was completely oblivious to his former opponent’s rough run after the Olympics.
The American said of his former rival: “I wish him nothing but the best.
“I don’t know why he didn’t become a boxing trainer because at the time when we fought, he was already a lot older than I was.
“I was fighting at the elite stage at 16. I wanted to turn pro at 14, but it never happened. Five years later, I turned pro at 19.
    “Within a year, I was a champion.”
