He has battled the best of the best over the years – including British hero Ricky Hatton – while defeat to Mayweather in 2015 still remains the highest grossing fight of all-time.
However, shortly after that epic showdown, he was asked by Ring Magazine who had hit him the hardest in the ring.
And he revealed that it was none other than Miguel Cotto, who he eventually beat in the final round when they faced-off in 2009.
Pacquiao even dropped him in the third and fourth in what looked to be a dominant performance.

But Pacman was adamant that he was still feeling the effects of the punches he received in that bout all those years later.
He said: “Miguel Cotto. I can still feel some of those punches he threw at me.
“Staying on the ropes is not the best place to be when you are fighting him.
    “He’s also accurate. He’s incredible.”

Pacquiao’s fairytale in the ring ended in 2021 when he lost a world title fight against Yordenis Ugas via unanimous decision.
He retired with a record of 62–8–2, with 39 wins by knockout, and his place in the hall of fame assured.

The December 9 showdown between the two Aussies was given the busty billing due to both women stripping down to their underwear for fight weigh-ins.
It was due to occur on the undercard of Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney in San Francisco, America.
However, Bridges’ comeback match from a hand issue is now potentially in doubt after Mathie, 36, allegedly pulled out through injury.
And now the Daily Star says that she is desperately hunting for a replacement opponent to fill the void.

Bridges is “believed to be gutted that her swimwear model friend can’t compete”.
Now she faces a race against time to find someone to step in on short notice so that she can defend her IBF bantamweight title.
Mathie has been ruled out after suffering an injury in training for the clash.
And it is not just the two fighters that will be disappointed not to see them go one-on-one.

Bridges had already been busy hyping up the contest and joked that she had already triumphed as her “boobs are better”.
She had also added: “The weigh-in will break the internet.
“It will also get a lot of viewers outside of boxing because people will be interested to see if these two ‘OnlyFans models’ can box.”
Bridges has only defended her championship once since she won it from Maria Cecilia Roman in March 2022.
That was when she produced an eighth-round TKO to beat Shannon O’Connell last December.
Bridges broke her right hand in the lead up to that fight but still remarkably battled through the pain to get her arm raised before undergoing surgery.
The much-loved star still managed to keep growing her social media fan base during her absence from the ring.
And she was dubbed “the hottest woman in the room” this week as she sparkled in see-through top and ripped jeans.

Tommy Fury in talks to fight 54-year-old with boxing legend lined up to be next opponent, reveals dad John

TOMMY FURY is in talks with a boxing legend for his next fight, his dad John said. The ex-Love Islander beat YouTube stars Jake Paul, 26, and KSI, 30, in 2023 to become king of the crossover scene.

And two weeks after his controversial win over KSI, the 23-year-old took a trip to Saudi Arabia in support of his brother Tyson.
Days before Tyson also contentiously beat ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou, Tommy struck a deal to face American great Roy Jones Jr.
And now his dad John revealed talks with the 54-year-old icon are underway.
He told The Express, via Free Bets UK: “We’re speaking to Roy Jones Jr; we can do something with him.
    READ MORE ON TOMMY FURY
“I’m giving it some thought at the time of speaking. Roy Jones Jr is a great guy. He’s a lovely fella, a standup man and a hall-of-fame great.”
John added: “Maybe it is an exhibition or something, whatever he wants to do.
“We’ve not really spoken in great detail, but he did say over in Saudi ‘Let’s do something’ and we’re all ears.
“We just need to sit down and see what is best for Tommy and Roy Jones Jr.”

Jones is considered one of the best of all time, reigning over FOUR divisions including heavyweight.
But he boxed well into his 50s and in 2020 welcomed back Mike Tyson for an exhibition.
Jones again made a return this April against MMA veteran Anthony Pettis, losing on points.
And he has also confirmed the negotiations to face Tommy, telling Betway: “There is truth to that, we spoke in Saudi Arabia because of the fact that John Fury was with Tyson ahead of his fight.
“Me and the Fury family, we have a lot of history. I was one of the people who told Tyson five or six years back that he could come back and beat all of them and that’s what he has done.
“To be in the ring with somebody from the social media era and have a big fight with Tommy Fury, I may not be who I was but to be in with against someone from the YouTube era, it’s a different type of thing and can captivate the audience. I think it’s a good thing.”

Tony Bellew hails referee for saving his LIFE in Oleksandr Usyk fight after Ukrainian landed monstrous left hook

TONY BELLEW reckons a boxing referee saved his LIVE.That’s after his 2018 battle against Oleksandr Usyk was waved off following a monster punch from the Ukrainian.

Bellew, 40, stepped into the ring five years ago against the now-WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion.
Both men put on a spectacle of boxing with some heavy hooks and strong swings.
But it was Usyk who emerged victorious after downing Bellew with a massive left hook in the eighth round.
The punch sent the Brit sprawling to the canvas, with most men unlikely to recover.

But Bellew defied the odds to beat the countdown and get back on his feet.
Even so, he didn’t seem to know what planet he was on despite bravely insisting he was ready to continue.
And referee Terry O’Connor made the decision to wave off the contest, handing Usyk the win.
Bellew was not pleased with the decision at the time.

But he now admits it was the correct one, even claiming that O’Connor “saved my life” as a result.
Speaking on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, Bellew lifted the lid on taking a punch from one of the world’s top boxers.
And he thanked O’Connor for making the big call to end the bout, saying: “Too hard (fighting against Usyk).
“Obviously he’s amazing. I’ve fought stronger people, I’ve fought quicker people, but I’ve never fought someone like him who has got everything. He works you out.
“He downloads what you do. He’s downloading all the data in front of him. It takes him three rounds to do it.
“With me, it took him eight. And then he does it, he pulled the trigger.
“But I was exhausted. I remember everything up until round seven. I don’t remember round eight.
“No (Usyk doesn’t hit hard), I was up at six (count). He didn’t knock me clean out.
“I got up at six. Thank God the ref didn’t let me (continue) because he’d have killed me.
“The ref literally saved my life. Next shot probably puts me away for good.
“So boxing at the highest level in the professional business is brutal. My priority was to make it home safe. After that it was to win at all costs.” More

Boxing legend Katie Taylor celebrates with pop superstar Ed Sheeran after epic triumph over Chantelle Cameron

KATIE Taylor celebrated with pop superstar Ed Sheeran after her epic triumph over Chantelle Cameron – as the Bray boxer’s dad Pete last night joined calls for a Croke Park trilogy. The Irish legend landed two-weight undisputed glory over the weekend with a gutsy revenge mission over British brawler Cameron.

Six months ago Cameron left Taylor reeling by inflicting her only professional loss.
But our ring queen bounced back by winning their thrilling rematch at Dublin’s 3Arena by majority decision on Saturday to avenge May’s defeat at the same venue.
Ecstatic Katie, who went into the rematch as underdog for the first time in her career, celebrated afterwards with Grammy-winning musician Ed.
The defiant grappler proudly showed off the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF belts at both 135lb and 140lb as she now eyes a trilogy at Croke Park.

And speaking to the Irish Sun last night, Katie’s father and former coach Pete urged promoters, the GAA and the Government to deliver her Croker dream.
Pete, Katie’s coach when she won gold at the London 2012 Olympics, declared: “She deserves it (Croke Park).
    “The performance spoke for itself.”
Katie has been desperate to headline a historic showdown at GAA HQ but previous attempts have been KO’d by a costs wrangle.
    Most read in Boxing
Talks broke down largely stemming from issues relating to security costs, which the GAA believe promoters Matchroom should cover.
But with Taylor and Cameron locked at 1-1, Katie roared: “Let’s get the trilogy at Croke Park!”
Promoter Eddie Hearn has issued a plea to GAA bosses and the Irish Government to help get Croker on for an Irish icon.
Hearn has previously tried to stage a fight between Amanda Serrano and Taylor at Croke Park.
But the Matchroom supremo insists his fighter must fight in front of 80,000 fans at GAA HQ before she hangs up her gloves.
    ‘SHE DESERVES IT’
Hearn said: “She deserves everything, she’s made you so proud. A two-division undisputed world champion, the greatest night in her career.
“Croke Park has to happen, she’s done everything for the sport, she deserves it, next Spring and Summer, we’ll create an event.”
Hearn says that either Cameron or Amanda Serrano will be the likely opponent for Taylor in 2024.
And he pleaded with GAA bosses and Government to help allow Ireland’s “greatest ever athlete” to fight at Croker.
Hearn said: “We could make a financial case on tourism and why an event like this would be a huge success for this country. But if they can’t understand the compassionate side of giving this event and night to their greatest ever athlete then I really don’t know what we are doing.
“We are not even asking for favours. All we are asking for is for the cost to be in line with the biggest stadia in the world where we hold boxing. We don’t want a free stadium. If they want to give us one that would be marvellous. All we are saying is just make it there or thereabouts at Wembley, or Millennium Stadium or Dallas Cowboys.
“Should we just all try and work together -what a moment that would be.” More
