Artur Beterbiev vs Callum SmithSky Bet special

Smith goes into the contest as the underdog to unbeaten Beterbiev – who missed a September match-up due to injury.
Beterbiev didn’t look quite his best against Anthony Yarde a year ago and Smith has looked good since stepping up a division.
A brutal knockout saw him beat Lenin Castillo before being far too good for Mathieu Bauderlique later in the year.
Beterbiev has won all of his 19 fights by knockout but at 38 years old maybe isn’t quite the fighter he once was, with Smith – a world champ at a lower weight – ready to put on a show.

Tyson Fury’s dad John reveals why Gypsy King must change his style for Oleksandr Usyk fight

JOHN FURY has called on son Tyson to change his style in order to beat Oleksandr Usyk. The pair of champions unify all four belts for the first time in heavyweight history on February 17 in Saudi Arabia.

Fury is coming off the back of knockout wins over Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora.
But he was floored by ex-UFC star Francis Ngannou, 37, and deemed fortunate to walk away with a points win in their October bout.
So dad John wants to see a change in Fury’s tactics in order to nullify masterful southpaw Usyk.
And he pointed to Michael Spinks’ 1987 win over the giant Gerry Cooney as warning to why.

He told Boxing Social: “He needs a different style altogether with Usyk, he’s totally different.
“If you go back to, many years ago, you can watch it on the internet, it’s Gerry Cooney-Michael Spinks.
“Michael Spinks is a blown-up light-heavyweight weighing just over fourteen stone at the time.
“Gerry Cooney is six-foot-seven, eighteen stone, look what happened.

“Usyk is very good, he is a good mover, he’s got a brain, he’s got good footwork and the style for Deontay Wilder and Francis Ngannou isn’t going to cut it for a man like Usyk.”

They arrived at the scene shortly after to find the boxer’s body in a pool of blood.

Initial police investigations suggest he had lost control of his motorcycle while navigating the curved tunnel.

The two-wheeler was said to have struck the curb before crashing.

Love Island star Jack Fincham says he will fight KSI for FREE and claims he is a better boxer than Tommy Fury

JACK FINCHAM has offered to fight KSI for FREE – and claimed he is a better boxer than Tommy Fury. Fury became the first to beat YouTuber-turned boxer KSI after a scrappy six-round decision.

The 2019 Love Islander admitted it was purely a money fight.
But Fincham – who won the ITV reality show a year before Fury’s stint – insisted he would box KSI for nothing.
He told BritishGambler.co.uk: “I’m not saying this to put it out there for loads of money; I’ll fight him for nothing.
“I will fight him for free to prove the point.”

Fury, 24, beat social media sensation Jake Paul, 26, last February by split-decision in Saudi Arabia.
But his victory over KSI, 30, in November was for less convincing and the result divided opinions.
Fincham, 31, said: “I’m just gonna say this honestly, because while in the boxing world he has transferred over to being professional.
“I have a lot more experience than KSI, and going off his last performance and watching how Tommy dealt with that – I’ve got more experience than him as well from doing amateur fights as well.

“I watched it and would have dealt with it so differently and would have beaten him [KSI] clearly.
“It’s questionable if Tommy even won that to be honest.”
Fincham and Fury are not the only Love Island contestants to have boxed.
Idris Virgo, 30, is unbeaten and currently signed to KSI’s Misfits Boxing banner.
And Fincham – who had 26 amateur bouts as a youngster – rated himself and Virgo above 10-0 Fury in terms of skill.
He said: “Tommy’s third. I’d say for me the first is probably Idris Virgo for boxers that have been on Love Island. Idris first, me second and Tommy third.
“That’s just me being honest and nothing against Tommy because I like him as a person, but boxing-wise, he’s good but he’s not out of this world. He’s just got a massive following; he’s a Fury at the end of the day.
“He can box, he’s a good fighter, he’s strong, he’s in good shape, he dedicates himself but put it this way – he’s not unbeatable.

The model is also looking to face off another nemesis in the adult content world in Astrid Wett, who’s currently top of her list.
The 26-year-old is then looking to follow in the footsteps of other social media personalities like Jake Paul by crossing paths with former MMA fighters.
And that is why she would like to face off against UFC Hall of Famer Rousey and former MMA athlete-turned OnlyFans model Paige, whom the Brit wouldn’t mind facing in a bare-knuckle fight.
Elle told talkSPORT: “A really huge fight like Paige VanZant or Ronda Rousey. Someone like that, but then in between I need that Astrid fight.

“I don’t think those fights would ever work without that one because that is the money fight, that could be like a main [event].
“Nate Diaz has fought Jake Paul and then he’s facing another opponent in a couple of months.
“I know it’s called influencer boxing but it’s a crossover scene. You can get other fighters into the scene [and] I think that would make sense.
“I think the only people who have done it are Jake Paul, KSI, and Bryce Hall. I would definitely love to put my name on the map by winning against a real fighter.

“Not that I’m underestimating influencer boxers, but someone that is known to be good, tough, and shocking. I want to be a true underdog and come out on top.
“I would do bare-knuckle. Apparently, it is better for you because it just grazes your face rather than rattle your brain in your head. Sure, I’ve seen people get their teeth knocked out but okay.”
Rousey is still regarded as UFC’s greatest female fighter of all time as she enjoyed a four-year undefeated streak that saw her winning all 12 of her fights.
However, the American bruiser picked up her first loss in 2015 against Holly Holm and never managed to bounce back as she went on to suffer another defeat at the hands of Amanda Nunes a year later.

Rowdy left Dana White’s promotion that year and crossed over to WWE in 2018 where she went on to dominate the women’s division by becoming RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet left the company after SummerSlam in August when she lost to close friend and fellow UFC hero Shayna Baszler.
The 36-year-old has since been competing in the independent circuit with MMA comrade Marina Shafir, with whom she also appeared in Ring of Honor.
Rousey hasn’t shown intent to participate in influencer boxing as she is already a major attraction in professional wrestling.
Meanwhile, Elle is focused on AJ after releasing a bizarre video mocking her rival.

British boxing legend Ricky Hatton questions how much Tyson Fury ‘has got left’ after brutal Deontay Wilder trilogy

RICKY HATTON questioned how much Tyson Fury “has got left” after his brutal trilogy series with Deontay Wilder. Fury made a heroic comeback in 2018 shedding TEN STONE after three years out the ring amid a battle with depression and substance abuse.

Fury won the gruelling series with two stoppagesCredit: Reuters
In the same year, he challenged Wilder for the WBC title and was deemed unfortunate to walk away with a draw despite being twice floored.
Fury, 35, did dethrone Wilder, 38, in the 2020 rematch before doubling his tally in their epic trilogy bout a year later.
But again, the Gypsy King had to twice get up from the canvas to pull out the stoppage victory.
So it leaves British boxing legend Hatton fearing the effects it could have on Fury heading into a potential super-fight with Anthony Joshua.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
He told OLBG: “You don’t get a bigger fight. It’s one of the biggest fights in British boxing history. It’s a great clash of styles.
“Tyson’s always in entertaining fights, so is AJ, and it was only a couple of fights ago we thought his best days were behind him but in his last couple of fights he has looked really impressive.
“But Tyson on the other hand has been the best heavyweight for a good number of years and I still have him as number one, but we just need to know what Tyson has got left.
“Don’t forget it’s not just the three Wilder fights, it’s the lifestyle he’s had as well where he’s had to lose ten stone in the past and what it does to the body and then having them three wars with Deontay Wilder.

“It might be too many miles on the clock for Tyson or maybe he took him lightly because he didn’t look in the best shape.
“He’s not built like Anthony Johsua, but you can see that he has definitely been in better shape than last time out.
“But I hope we can get it on as it would be a tragedy for British boxing if the biggest fight in British history wasn’t made because they couldn’t make a deal.
“That’d be a crying shame for our sport. I edge towards Tyson but I’m not as confident as what I was.”
Fury was dropped by ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou, 37, in their October crossover clash but ended out a controversial points win.
It kept alive his historic four-belt undisputed title decider with Oleksandr Usyk, 36, set for February 17 in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile Joshua, 34, will now fight Ngannou in March in Saudi after Wilder was beaten by Joseph Parker, 31, to blow their mega-fight.
There is hope that AJ and Fury could both finally commence their Battle of Britain bout should they both be victorious in the Middle East. More

But he was left red-faced by the boxing novice as was cut and dropped on his way to eking out a narrow split decision win.
Ngannou, 37, is hellbent on sharing the ring with Fury again but refuses to hang around forever for a second crack at the Brit.
While discussing his upcoming showdown with Anthony Joshua, he told MMA Fighting: “I win this fight and I’m fighting Fury period.
“Whether or not he has the belt. Our rematch term was within next year, so it’s going to be October this year.

“I just want to be free and fight, the thing is with the title is this is a system I don’t want to fall into anymore.
“You have to make a concession with an organisation, I don’t want that political stuff.”
Before Ngannou can think about throwing down with Fury again, he must first get past former two-time unified champ Joshua.
Joshua, 34, has breathed new life into his career following back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk with wins over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin last year.

Anthony Joshua tipped to BEAT Usyk in shock trilogy fight by ex-coach despite bitter war of words

ANTHONY JOSHUA’s former coach has tipped him to upset Oleksandr Usyk in a trilogy fight – despite their apparent war of words.Joshua’s reign as unified heavyweight champion came to an end at the hands of the undefeated Ukranian in September 2021 as he was outfoxed in their Tottenham tussle.

AJ failed to exact his revenge in their Riyadh rumble rematch 11 months later, suffering a second consecutive points defeat.
A third fight could be on the cards should Usyk beat Tyson Fury and Joshua win the IBF title, which is expected to become vacant after next month’s eagerly-anticipated undisputed title fight.
And Robert Garcia – who failed to guide AJ to victory at the second time of asking against Usyk – can foresee the Watford warrior getting the job done the third time around.
In an interview with Boxing Social, Garcia said of AJ: “He is the second most-talented fighter in the [heavyweight] division.

“Three times [he fought] this year, that was the best thing that they could have done for him.”
Garcia’s glowing comments come as a surprise as the pair have had a public back-and-forth after the American questioned AJ’s training set-up.
Joshua didn’t take kindly to the comments, saying ahead of his clash with Franklin: “Garcia is the first one to say the things he said.
“And I didn’t like that, I found it weird. I am not perfect.
“Trust me, I do have tough days in camp, but he went and pointed those things out – out of all the things we did in training camp.”
