Crystal Palace have enquired about QPR’s Eberechi Eze but are yet to table an bid
Those have caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, with Tottenham believed to be keen on the £20million-rated ace.
However, QPR’s sporting director has confirmed only one has made an enquiry for the England Under-21 international – but no official bids have been made for his services.
Speaking to The Beautiful Game Podcast, Ferdinand said: “Crystal Palace made an enquiry but we never got to any fee or any negotiations in terms of what it was going to take.
“They made an enquiry about him and that was it.”
Sir Les, one of the best English strikers to grace the top-flight, added: “When I see some of the things he does on a football and how comfortable he is on a football, I put him up there as one of the best I have seen.
“Whether he fulfils his potential to be one of the best I have worked with time will tell.
“But in terms of his ability with the ball certainly he is one of the best I have seen.”
Eze has been in outstanding form this campaign, scoring 12 goals and creating eight for his team-mates from his 37 appearances.
