While almost all sport remains abandoned, including football until at least April 3, millions have been advised to remain indoors.

Now the likes of Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger have further encouraged those to help stem the spread by following these rules.

On a video published by Fifa, former Arsenal boss Wenger begins: “These are five key tactics to tackle the coronavirus.

“I urge you to follow with discipline at all times, these five key tactics.”

HANDS

Ex-Tottenham gaffer Mauricio Pochettino adds: “It starts with your hands. Please, wash your hands frequently, if possible, with an alcohol-based solution.”

ELBOW COUGH

Casey Stoney, Manchester United’s women’s manager, adds: “With your elbows bent, please cover your nose and mouth if you sneeze or cough.

“If using tissues, dispose of them immediately.”

FACE

Senegal boss Aliou Cisse advises: “For your face, avoid touching your eyes, your nose, and your mouth.

“This can prevent the virus from entering your body.”

DISTANCE

Spurs manager Mourinho then adds: “In terms of social interaction, take a step back.

“Stay one-meter distance minimum from everyone that coughs or sneezes.”

FEEL

Former USA Women’s head coach Jill Ellis says: “If you feel unwell, stay home.

“In some countries, isolation might be advisable for healthy persons too.

“Please follow all instructions from your local health authority.”
