INTER MILAN flop Alexis Sanchez has been using the coronavirus break to prepare himself for his return from injury.

The Chilean winger has endured a tough time since moving from Arsenal to Manchester United in January 2018.

Having joined Inter on loan from United, Sanchez has continued to struggle with both form and injury but is now ready to return once football resumes in Italy.

The 31-year-old has been working on his fitness whilst spending time with his beloved dogs Atom and Humber.

The dogs even have their own Instagram account with over 175,000 followers.

Serie A has been postponed for the foreseeable future as the country battles to contain the outbreak of coronavirus.

The spread of the disease in Italy has been rapid with nearly 18,000 confirmed cases and over 1,200 deaths so far.

The winger is on an enormous £400,000 per week at Old Trafford and Inter are set to pay over £4million over the year long move.

Considering the 31-year-old has only played 186 minutes this season, it has cost the Italian club a staggering £22,000 per minute.

United have had to cover the rest of Sanchez’s wages, meaning they will have spent over £5m on a player that hasn’t played for them this season.

Sanchez has only scored once in 15 appearances this season and Inter boss Antonio Conte is not keen on make the deal permanent.

Inter do not have an option to keep Sanchez and there is no obligation to buy at the end of the loan spell.

United will be aiming to offload the attacker which will see an significant cut on the wage bill.
